I'm just wondering wether something's wrong with me or it's one of them phase thingies. The thing is- I just can't feel anything for anyone. I have a girlfriend and she's great, but I can't seem to feel anything deeper. I always took a dim view of 'tweenie' love (I met him last week and we're in LOOOVEEE), but I'm just wondering if I'm just unloveable or something. Maybe I'm just too young (17), can someone help me out here?

Sometimes a person can just plain not be attracted to another particular person.

But it's possible that you have no emotion. Do you have any pets or parents? Do you not love them either?

It's called teenage narcissism. You're young, and people your age are one of two things: either disgustingly over emotional, or empathetically dead. Give it 4-5 years and the whole thing should pass, then you can find out whether you're truly emotionally dead instead of the rather normal feeling of death that many teenagers feel.

Hm... My parents divorced when I was 10. I've been hurt by girls plenty since then. Maybe I'm damaged goods... I almost wish she would dump me, just so I could know if I could feel, heartbreak or remorse. I'd just like to be able to feel something..

It's not like inability to feel ANYTHING, it's just I can't feel like I can have romantic feelings for a girl. I did have some sort of depression a while back, but this is more like depression in one area of life. Thanks to all who have posted..

uhh...that sounds like the beginning of a self destructive thought. promis there will be NO cutting. cutting of self or others is strictly prohibited. I think whatshisface was right that its just a teenage thing that will pass. I'm 17 as well, and mines already done. dont worry about things like this. it will pass.
