I just don't get it.

I think I've did the right thing morally by not fucking a person I want to fuck that I want to care about, but I still feel hollow inside, like I've missed out on something.

Yes, of course you feel hollow. You have missed out on something, whether morally correct or not, and sometimes doing the "right" thing can make you feel like shit.

The hollow feeling, for me, tends to come and go. It's also important to realize that sometimes the morally incorrect things are really the correct things. I have no idea about your situation, though.
