My friend
Hey,
My best friend (we'll call her Amy) is dating this guy. This is the 4th time they've gone out, and he's always saying "I love you" to her. She believes him. She says "It's the way he looks at me, I can tell that he really has feelings for me," but I, being a guy, suspect otherwise. I suspect that he's just in it for a piece of ass. Yes, my best friend is good looking, but, in the beginning of march, Amy's friend (we'll call her Alissa) was suicidal. Amy and her current b/f weren't going out at the time, but part of why Alissa was suicidal was because of him. I asked him wtf was goin on (being friends with Alissa too) and he said "Tell Alissa to pull the fucking trigger and to take Amy's ass w/ her."
With that aside, I was also in a conversation with him and I was like (Amy wasn't talking to me at this point in time, I made her mad) "How do you REALLY feel about her?" and he said "I don't love her." I told her and he said "I meant to say 'I do love her'" even though in the context it should have been "I love her" not "I do love her".
All in all, I feel he's after a piece of ass, how can I be sure other than to just ask him, or pound it out of him?

Re: My friend
Get him to reveal his feelings through an instant messanger conversation that you can save and give to your friend. He might be able to get away with saying you misinterpreted his words to her, but it'll be much more difficult for him to deny an entire conversation.

First of all, this is my best friend and I don't want anything to happen to her, especially a broken heart. Second of all, I hate the dude with a passion, not entirely sure why, but I do. He, to me, seems like the kind of guy that would lie, through is teeth, WITH EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT OTHERWISE, to get what he wants. He seems extremely manipulative.

Re: My friend
If "Amy" is really your best friend, you should be able to address these issues with her. Get her to tell the guy she wants to wait till after marriage to consumate their "love", and if this guy's only in it for the ass like you say, he would probably bail right away. It might be harsh, but it's better than finding out after that he was only there for the sex.

Re: My friend
As a friend, you can advise her if she comes to you with a problem. I think you should stay out of her business. People learn from experience, let her learn.
Either way, she probably won't listen to you to the point where she'll break up with him. Check out Bleedthrough's thread.
