Love?
What does love feel like? I know I'm not in love, and I know that it's different for everyone, and I know there's those people out there that say love is just a weakness. I have one thing to say to those people, fuck you. Love is the greatest thing in the world, if only I could experience it truly. In it's pure form. But yea, anyone out there married with kids or whatever, please tell me what it feels like and if it's really as good as it's supposed to.

I'm 15 and I would much rather be in love with someone than get a bunch of pussy. Call me a bitch if you want, I could honestly care less. Words a simple little things that don't mean shit, it's actions and feelings that play the real role in the world.

^ I fully agree. Although I also agree with the guy who posted previously. I'd like to have a period in my life where I'm in love, although I'd also like to experience frequent casual sex at some point.

Re: Love?
Yea... I don't know whether or not I'm all sensitive kind of guy, but at 15, I probably shouldn't worry about love. But for smoe reason I feel like everyone has one person that is so fucking awesome for them, and I for some reason, think I found that person. I don't know why, I don't know how. I just know that I think I found that person and that, yea... She's just yea.

Re: Love?
Well for some reason, this thread dropped to the second page over night, which means there was a shitload of threads but its ok. This should get it back on the first page. But, love is not a weakness. Imagine being in the arms of the one you truly love. With all of your heart, and you can look into her eyes and tell when she is going to give you those three words that makes your heart drop every time you hear them. That would just have to be perfect in as much sense of the word that is possible.

Re: Love?
Come on, I've never actually talked about love like this. I've gotten the "You're too young to love" line from people but that's about as far as it went. Then I had the "Yea, we don't know what love is, I'm almost 20 and I still don't know what it is" talk with my friend. But, that's as far as it went. Come on Cindy, or someone let's see what you guys think about the topic of love.

Love probably is over rated, but yea I just think that it's going to be great, whenever I actually fall in love with a girl, and she loves me back, I feel like we'll be invincible, inseperable. Those things you know?

i believe that true love is the one thing that seperates us from a base lifestyle...it really CAN'T be over-rated, i go along with that fact that it is the greatest, most fulfilling feeling one can have towards another person. and because humans are essentially a social species, it is therefore probably among the most important emtions someone can experience in their lifetime...

THANK YOU! A REAL RESPONSE!! Yea, love is... not over rated, it can't be. Just knowing someone out there loves you has to be the most fulfilling feeling in existence. Then there's actually being with them in their arms...

Re: Love?
As horrible as this may sound, I prefer love/hate to love...and don't be confused now and think love and hate oppose eachother. I've had several relationships where I both loved and hated the person...those were the more satisfying relationships I've had. We'd fight like rabid dogs...taking out our hatred towards eachother, then we'd fuck like rabbits. Love/Hate relationships are great...you want to kill them because you hate them, but you just can't do it because you love them. Love/Hate relationships are the spice of life.

Re: Love?
I go back and forth, debating about whether or not actual love exists.
On one hand, it seems reasonable- but cynical- to say that love is actually the instinct to be near other creatures of the same species and procreate. It's nothing different from what you se at the zoo when the giraffes are in heat; humans just have a collective flaw in the machinery of their minds that makes them believe they're superior to animals, and they give that instinctive want a fancy word: love.
But then again, I'd like to believe in love.
I've never been in love, either. I've thought I was, but in retrospect, I say no. I guess it's real if you want it to be, and it's relative for every person. You could fall in love a million times in your life, but if you look back on it and say,"I wasn't really in love," then it doesn't exist for you..

Re: Love?
Well love is placed in such high regard, it's really quite revered by many. If you look at how many people are actually IN love then yea, it's just there's not many people who totally love each other. It has just been built into our minds at a young age that love is hard to find, you could find the perfect person at say the ripe young age of 13 and you could stay with that person for the rest of your entire life. It's just the matter of the fact of actually meeting that person and staying with them. You shouldn't have to put forth effort or TRY to stay together. Love conquers all and there shouldn't be any questions in the relationship that someone has with their spouse. So if you look back on it, and you're not together presently, then you obviously weren't in love. Because like they say, love lasts forever.

love is a funny feeling like i love my son and he loves me back, and its the greatest feeling on earth. but me and his mom have a love/hate relationship and you know i think thats the only real form of love. you know each other so well you tear at each other just so you can make up and have those intimate nights, noty only sex. but fighting comes with being with someone so much it is inevitable. and i think love holds you back from doing great things, i turned down going to berkly in cali. now im a college drop out that works construction. just somehint to think about

Re: Love?
Love is just an emotion and emotions are just chemical reactions in the brain. Humans see people having relationships from the time their born and think that the acceptable way of life is to get married because thats what everyone else in socity does. Relationships are something thought up by humans. Marriage was created by religion long ago because religion said it was morally right to only be with one person and because it made people feel like there's a meaning in life to find their soul mate and to start a family with them. Theres no such thing as a soul mate. Thats stupid. Theres nothing special about only being with one person because there isn't just one person out there for you. It just depends on who you happened to meet. A lot of people get married just for money or other stupid reasons too and in some cultures people are chosen who they will marry by their parents when they are born. Thats not love at all but its considered love in some cultures and those people belive that that person really is their soulmate that God made for them to be with. Most people in relationships think their in love and then they start making rules for each other and they start arguing all the time and then they stay together hating each other because noone wants to accept that there really isnt one special person out there for them because they dont want to be alone. People start relationships because they want someone to share their lives with but after their around each other for so long they start to find things about the other person that they dont like or that annoys them and they can only put up with it for so long until they can't stand being around each other all the time anymore, but they stay together because even though they dont want to be together anymore, they wont admit it to themselves because they think that their in love even though their not and it makes them feel happy to know that someone will always be their for them even though their really isn't. Sometimes people can have a successful relationship but its rare and even a lot of people in successful relationships argue. No two people can get along perfectly if there around each other for too long because no two people are exactly alike which results in arguments becuase people are so stupid. Any two people could be friends or enemies just depending how they meet. Sometimes its just better to live your life alone because the only person that will always be there for you is yourself and its better to live knowing that there is noone for you and accept the facts that your alone than live a lie being fooled you have a soulmate and wasting your life trying to be there for someone only to realize that they always hated you and only thought they loved you when you first met and married you for a reason like wanting your money. Its still always good to have friends in your life because without friends live would be boring but don't get too close to just one person. Theres nothing special or sacred about having sex. Its just something fun to do. People belive its morally right to only have sex with one person because thats what they were raised to belive. Most morals are stupid. They were thought up by some religious people long ago and everyone still belives in them because people are dumb and belive what there taught to belive instead of beliving in the obvious facts. Whats the differants of having a good friend your having sex with and having a relationship. Its just commitment. Therefore love is just commitment to a good friend but sometimes there no commitment and sometimes they arent friends and hate each other. Love is just something people want because of their natural instincts but doesnt acctually exist and noone will accept it. Love only exists as an idea that people have to find their soulmate who doesn't really exist.

Well I guess thats one way to look at it. Sad though. Also don't forget that theres more than one type of what people call love.. for example:
Love between Father and son.
Love between brothers/sisters.
Love for pets.
All are different but most people still call them love. Personally I find love (in the relationship sense) to be insanely frustrating, yet rewarding.

Love is really in the mind of the person in question. It's different to everyone. I don't feel much of anything anymore, but I consider love to be where you'd do anything, including giving your life to safe the other.

luv is getting a blowjob by a girl when u ask her for one. luv is also when u dont have to take her out on a date just to fuck.
luv is when she understands that you rather hang out with other breezies, and everything does not revolve around her. luv is when she understands the song by enrique iglesias "im not in love".

Re: Love?
depends on what love you're talking about. you could always look it up
IronChef Foicite: well, there's a lot of reasons
IronChef Foicite: i mean, roses only last like a couple weeks
IronChef Foicite: and that's if you leave them in water
IronChef Foicite: and they really only exist to be pretty
IronChef Foicite: so that's like saying
IronChef Foicite: "my love for you is transitory and based solely on your appearance"
IronChef Foicite: but a potato!
IronChef Foicite: potatos last for fucking ever, man
IronChef Foicite: in fact, not only will they not rot, they actually grow shit even if you just leave them in the sack
IronChef Foicite: that part alone makes it a good symbol
IronChef Foicite: but there's more!
IronChef Foicite: there are so many ways to enjoy a potato! you can even make a battery with it!
IronChef Foicite: and that's like saying "i have many ways in which I show my love for you"
IronChef Foicite: and potatos may be ugly, but they're still awesome
IronChef Foicite: so that's like saying "it doesn't matter at all what you look like, I'll still love you"

What the fuck? Are you serious? If a girl I "loved" got pregnate with my child not only would I hold her totally responsible, but I would force her to have an abortion, if she refuses I will just jump on her stomach a lot (miscarriages make good birthcontrol).
Children ruin lives.

Let's see the only girl that ever cheated on my was a total slut. Only because I was blind. I only went out with her 'cause I was madd desperate. Now see the thing is, you probably go out with a shit load of smuts that only want cock. There's no feelings, no emotions. That's fine for you, but just shut the fuck up. Why did you even post anything in this thread if you didn't have anything good to say?

Love is an evil feeling and should be avoided at all costs. You do NOT want to fall in love, especially at such a young age. Wait until college or later before that, then there's at least a chance that both of you will be mature enough to have an actual relationship.

Re: Love?
^That's great. Take it to B&M because I like this thread and I don't want to move it there.
When you want to be with them forever. When you can leave your family, never talk to another human being again and feel satisfied to just be with your soul mate. When you look in their eyes and you feel comforted. When they're in every single one of your dreams, not as an active participant but just by your side. When all you think about is them and all you want to do is be with them. When the closest connection you can make is by holding their hand and understanding the silence. When making love is not intimate enough and "I love you" is just words. When a kiss almost brings you to tears. When music is the closest thing that can describe your feelings. When their support is all you need to get through the worst of problems. When a ring and a piece of paper could never begin to represent the love and devotion. When you know there is no better person living for you. When you are confident being exactly who you are around them. When they are the one who brought out you. When everyone elses opinion doesn't matter because you have your love and they think you are perfect. When cuddling is connecting souls and smiles come from your heart. When their embrace gives you peace. When the thought of them makes your heart beat fast. When they leave on vacation and come back in 2 days because they missed you too much.
I wrote that a long time ago. That's first love. I'm sure I could expound on it a lot better now but those are the original words by someone who was in love at the time.
It doesn't matter if love is just a chemical reaction, if you base your life on science, where's the passion? That's what I hate about the world - the lack of passion.

Re: Love?
Nice poem, unfortunately I can't write poetry for shit, so I think I'll just leave it at that. Heh. Yea, love is... perfect. A divine sense of knowing you are loved is a beautiful thing. Love in its actual form is the most beautiful of all things. It can not turn ugly for it is to beautiful to be wasted. It can only be broken, it is a trust, a bonding between two people that can only attempt to understand the feelings come from their spouse. Grey hat, when you're 50 and you're alone, or you hate your wife, you're going to know why, because you don't care about love. Sometimes you just need to realize that not EVERYTHING with a pussy is worth fucking, maybe its worth loving? Don't get that sick and twisted, and distort it to all hell. Just leave it at that, and as for my mom, I could care less if you could. Everyone already says shes hot, and shes been married for like a few years, not even 3. 10 bucks says you couldn't do it.

There have been times that I've thought I was in love, but shit didn't work out and I can't really remember that feeling anymore. I do feel love for people, but this "in love" thing is a bit foreign to me. I think it's mostly something that people have made up to make themselves feel special

Maybe. Love often seems to be fleeting like that. As someone else stated, teenagers and love often don't bode well together.
Love is one of those concepts that I think we'd all love (pun intended) to believe existed. Justice, honor, decency. Along that line. Love is a hope that humans are more complex than "What am I eating for breakfast today?" That we're not just put on this Earth to pass on our genes and die.
Does it exist? What does it feel like? As another user put it, to put love into words would bastardize it. Maybe it is out there, maybe it isn't. You'll have to discover that for yourself.
Like the postal service song goes, "I want so badly to believe, that there is truth, that love is real."
edit: Whoops.

I agree with all Mojo said but this:
quote:When you can leave your family
I don't think being "in love" is a made-up feeling. Maybe people romanticize it a bit (hmm...) but being "in love" is (I imagine) very different than the love you feel for your mum or dad. It's important to make the distinction.

Re: Love?
The point was that you would do anything for the person, including giving up things(or people) that you love. That paragraph is individual to me.. it's things I was faced with or thought about.
At one point my ex asked me if I would just leave Florida and go to Cali with him. He basically said if he made up his mind one day to go to Cali if I would just pack my things and go, no questions asked, that day.
I said yes without thinking about it. He was my world for 2 years and even though we've been broken up for over a year I still believe he holds a piece of me. I wouldn't feel safe if it was anyone but him that had it.

Hm.. I agree with alot of the poem.. except for the dreams thing, because well.. I don't dream.. and secondly, about the "willing to leave anyone" bit.
I understand the sentiment and meaning behind that, but to have to give up friends/family that you love, in order to satisfy/comply with the wishes of your loved one.. that to me is going too far. If my g/f ever asked me to give up a friend because she didn't like them, or whatever the case, I'd be gone in a second.
But it falls upon peoples morals, and how they feel about things. So I support you since thats how you see it.

Re: Love?
I think what he is trying to say is that, if you HAD to leave that specific person, that you would for the sake of staying with your boy/girlfriend. Not if he/she asked you to leave that friend, but if you HAD to or else it would be impossible to stay with him/her.
