Default Re-examining your trust

yea, im here with another one of my rants.

today men, i ask you to withhold trust. why? many reasons.

the first and foremost is, it keeps you on your game. by keeping yourself back, you dont get all sappy and boring. you keep doing what made them like you before, and everyones happy.

the second, is consciencly holding back keeps you emotionally held back as well. that way, untill your very very sure, any bad shit than happens will sting alot less.

ive seen it too many times in here and real life guys. you find some girl who you like. maybe really turns your crank ad you just want to drop all the barriers and love them. and then you get hurt.

you didnt keep your eyes open and she was a soul stealing, life sucking whore. she wasnt as serious as you. she got bored with your puppy dog bullshit. ive seen it all bros.

the sooner you find out that most things arent going to turn out well, the better. this love like youve never been hurt shit is against all the darwinian teachings. you learn, and you evolve.

you must activly resist falling deep into her. it isnt going to be easy at times, for sure.

im a real hardass, ill admit. but you must value your sanity over love. cause without serious thought, love will destroy things nothing else can.

no matter what she does, your giving to her must be gradual, over the period of many months, even years. she may say you dont share enough. or ask you why you dont trust her as much as she does you supposedly.

you didnt make her do that. isnt your fault. and whats worse, if shes a predator, she might be setting you up. dont give in till YOU feel safe. cause she wont feel your pain. and if shes the one hurting you, she isnt going to be hurting at all. read this and digest it.

nothing is sacred. nor special. words, bonds and promises mean nothing unless they are forged with the hammer of time. dont put yourself on the line only to get smashed in the mouth. if its worth being with this person, its worth taking precautions.]

take care of youself, then each other.

you can't entirely withhold trust, that's impossible.

by simply being in some ones pressence you are placing an amount of trust in them.

relationships are built around trust, it is good to with hold certain amounts of trust, to certain degrees. but keeping on your 'game' isn't abount with holding trust, it's about keeping your wits about you and not being stupid.

Just my 2 cents...

Trust has to be earned in degrees. SMALL degrees. Whether it's a relationship from work, family or love it's a slow, careful process. Obviously family trust is more easily defined and tangent (unless you come from a dysfunctional family of course).

Work: If I'm a carpenter and am asked to hold a nail while someone gets ready to pound it with a hammer, I don't trust him. If I'm asking him to pick me up and give me a ride to work in the morning, I trust he'll be there until I find out he's unreliable.

Love: I have to go with Nihilism on this one. You can't trust someone with your innermost felt feelings and expect to come through unscathed. It goes both ways. Men & women. Be alert and offer only as much trust in him/her at a time, gradually stepping it up as you feel comfortable with. You can think you know someone very well, and then find out you've been taken really quick. It fucks with your emotions to be an open book and 'think' you can trust someone, only to have that trust betrayed.

If/when you find yourself in a relationship that has evolved over time and has actually developed into a trusting rel. that's a good thing and rare, but can happen. Even then there are no guarantees.
