That makes me feel bad, because I didn't tell her that I was going to try and commit suicide. But I failed, twice actually, and am still very depressed about it. She does know though, because I got sent to the hospital over it. I don't know who knows what, but I know she knows because her brother found out. Next time SWIM will get stronger sleeping pills...

I expected such a response(s) would happen, but why all the hate? I know lots of people that have thought about or almost acted on suicide. Hell, I even stopped one once without even knowing it. don't feel bad. i don't see anything wrong with what you did, especially when you didn't use it to threaten her. it's your life, you are in charge of it. if you have given A LOT of thought to it, been through all the possibilities and it's the best option you have, then that is that

some people deal with it by getting drunk and go fucking anything with a pulse, some people go and do drugs. you deal with it by hurting yourself

if you have no feelings what-so-ever after getting dumped, i seriously question whether you love the person in the first place or is she just another piece of meat for you to play with

getting dumped may seems trival to some of you, but it can mean the world to some people. everyone has different priorities, some might be willing to die for their parents, their job, their friends, whatever. just because it is different to yours doesn't mean it's wrong

i don't agree people should ever use it as a threat. but there is a difference between telling the truth and using it as a threat. if you are faced with the question, 'how would you feel if i go and fuck your best friend?'

Ive failed 6 or so times when my psychologist gave me a pescription for the wrong kinds of meds and it caused me to go bezerk.

Hes just depressed, dont make him feel worse. Peoples emotions are different. Something that hurts you might not hurt him. And it works both ways.

On topic just do the turn around on her. Say if you threaten to kill yourself one more time, i will do X. This normaly shuts the person up. Or you could take the sensitive route and ask her why she is so willing to throw her life out the window.
