Default Holy Motherfucking GOD, I Love this boy!

Love is a silly word only used by dumbasses and 15-year-old girls. And because I don't turn 15 until the 10th, I guess I should have picked a better word. But holy FUCK! Do you ever get that feeling where you shake and giggle every time you think about someone? Where just getting an email from him makes you want to kill yourself because you can't see him for another 6 months? I'm fucking dying here.

But so that this thread has a point... there is one huge problem. I never like someone for a long time. The longest I've ever really liked someone was 2 years. But that didn't end as well as it could have and now he has a girlfriend. A fellow totse member (hi, Nina!). Anyway, I don't like people for very long and shit always goes rotten. I barely know the kid I'm obsessing over. What the hell do I do? Should I just stop talking to him and get over him before I hurt myself really badly? I hate getting hurt and I totally see that happening. Have you guys ever been in a situation like this?

Get to know him. Perhaps you like him because you're assuming things about him that aren't true. He'll quickly dispell all your expectations and you won't like him anymore..

..at least that's what happens to me. I meet a guy and get a great first impression. The more I get to known him, the more I realize his shortcomings and things I don't like. The infatuation turns to "Let's just be friends." real quick.

That is, if you're picky like me.

If not, I'd say go for it. You only live once and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. You have to go through the bullshit to appreciate when you do find someone special. It's pretty much guaranteed you guys won't work out but that doesn't mean you won't learn something.

If it was easy to 'just get over someone' you would have already.

How does he feel about you?

He definitely likes me. I don't know if he likes me as much if I like him. But it's possible. He says that nearly all his thoughts go to me. The rest go to sleeping, food, and showering. And he calls me pretty often. Still, we live half a country apart. He could easily meet someone else. We're not in a relationship, so it's not like I could get mad at him if he did fuck around with some other chick. And I also would not want to be restricted like that.

If you don't know him well i can almost gaurantee you don't like "him". You most probably like the previous posts suggest have made a false image of him in your head.

Just try find somebody else that lives a little closer to you than half a country away. This is why people shouldnt meet on the internet, that is how you met isn't it?

Must have me confused with someone else. I met him through a mutual friend. But I only met him a couple weeks before I moved. Now I'm gone.

People shouldn't be scared of getting hurt. It's part of life and understanding what human relationships are all about. Every scar makes you learn. That's called experience.

I'd say go for it. As long as you surpress what you feel you'll get hurt even more.

har har

move on. you are so young. you will meet other people. a long distance relationship is hard at the best of times, but this situation is impossible.

stay in touch and be friends, sometime later you may be able to really get together. but if you cant see him and dont know EXACTLY how he feels, better to be friends and have the potential for something later, than get all huffy and 'in love' now, fuck it up and then have no recourse in the future.

I know. Wehn I moved to Sydney a friend of mine gave my number to a girl living up in fuck know's. I talked to her a few times, she would always send me text messages, and always asked me what I though about long distance relationships. I thought she sounded alright, a bit slutty, but maybe some fun for a weekend if she ever came down. Well she got a camera phone and sent me a picture of herself. Well yeah, she was dog ugly. She still calls every now and then but I generally try to avoid her. And by the way, I know this has nothing to do with the topic but I couldn't give a shit. Anyway, now I'm talking to this girl up in Newcastle. She's a year older so I don't really know why she's so interested in me but whatever. She seems really nice. I've only ever seen one pic of her, which was 2 years old but she looked kinda cute. I haven't gone into things as fast as I did the other girl, we've only ever sent text messages, but I think when I get my phone fixed on Monday I'll call her ( for the first time). It also comforts me to know that isn't as slutty as the other girl, as she hasn't been sending me messages talking about phone sex. Now, I've never had phone sex but it sounds quite lame. I don't really know, but I think I really like this girl. Even though she's a year older than me, lives 2 hours away from me, and even though I've never talked to her. I'm really hoping I can meet her sometime soon. It would be good to, not for sex but just to be able to really see what she's like. One thing that seems a little weird to me is that she is never the one to initiate a conversation between us. I'm always the first and last one to send an SMS. I've asked her why she even takes any intersest in me and she doesn't really give a straight answer. I don't know if she likes getting the SMS's or if I'm bugging her all the time, which I don't think I am because she always ends her message with something like "love always, alex" or something like that. But that may be how she ends all her messages. She does seem like that type of person to do that. Anyway I've ranted enough for now. The point I was trying to make was that recently I can never get girls close to me, they're always the long distance type. So, um, yeah.

Damn elf, you hijacked the shit out of glitter's thread.

Elf: Stop texting her, wait and see how long it takes her to come to YOU. Obviously, if you text her all the time, she knows she has you in the palm of her hand. Play it cool.

Glitter: Didn't realize he lived THAT far away. That changes thins quite a bit because I'm not a supporter of long-distance relationships.

But what I said still holds true. Call him and talk to him on the phone. You have more of a chance of becoming unattracted to him by talking to him than by not talking. Because, as I said before, you build up a certain profile in your mind of what you hope the person could be like.

Yeah sorry Glitter.

I have stopped texting her, I havent sent her a message in 2 weeks. The reason I haven't, though, is because I fucked my phone. But I'll get it fixed tomorrow and see if she really does like me.

ya glitter, i thought you were atleast over 14, in your pics that ive seen, you look like your 20..anyway, good luck with that guy, but long distance relationships are generally hard and dont work out well in the end(theres always the exception), so i would personally suggest to find someone new because im sure you can find someone pretty quickly...

edit: You dont act like a 15 year old girl much either, and trust me, im around 15 and 16 year olds every day...seem quite mature for your age..

The fantasy is always better than the reality. Wasn't he talking about moving up there or something? I think you guys should get to know each other (in person! He said he was coming before Christmas?) before something as big as that happens. That could indeed end badly.

Yeah, he did say he would be here before Christmas. But then he said he couldn't be here until after Christmas. Either way, he's not really moving because of me. He'll be transferring to a better school. Assuming he can get in... I don't know what the situation is with that. One of my fears is that he'll meet someone in New Mexico, and see no reason to come up here.

Everyone else: I think I've done a shitty job of describing the situation. I think I just made this thread so I would have some place to talk about how cute he is. But there is a possibility that I have an idealized view of him that will soon be shattered. I should call him... he just called me a couple minutes ago and the phone shat on me. I guess. ...hm. Just got off the phone. Talked to him for awhile. What's funny is that I was actually starting to think that maybe I don't like him as much as I thought. But being on the phone with him just now makes me realize that I totally do. He's a great kid. And because I haven't read the rest of what I typed hella long ago before I was on the phone... I don't know what I'm doing... so I'm done.

I know. Initially I was just hanging out with him because I didn't know him and it would hurt less than hanging out with real friends. So I smoked pot with a kid I didn't know, didn't really get to say goodbye to my real friends, and now I'm attached to a boy who lives way the hell away. Pretty lame

Sounds like a shitty situation. A little while ago I had a huge crush on this one girl. It just so happens that the day before I tell her that I like her and such she hooks up with some other chick. Burn. Thankfully I was wise enough to move on with my life; and yes, I was bummed out for a while, but I got over her and met an awsome girl. Errr...yeah. Over time your feelings will probably fade, so why waste your time with a relationship that not only doesn't exist, but can't happen. Enjoy your youth. Don't spend it sprung over some guy that lives 5 (or so) states away.

I dont know if youv'e ever heard the saying "It's better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all" Its one of those things that people will always say just after they say something like "There are two kinds of people in this world"

Now that is in a way the case but theres alot more than 2 kinds! Now some of the peopleout there that this applies to will love a hundred different peoplke while others maybe 1 or if they are lucky 2! And then when that love is lost they will either never love again or just kill themseleves and never do anything again! And thats cos they think that love is the only thing in life worth living for!

Now that might be sounding daft and all but it is the case with alot of people!

The ting is that some people can love alot of people and alot of things and get over them very easily while others, well when they say those 3 words "I love you" They do truly mean it with all that they are! And that is where the problems come into it! If they tell one of those peopple that can love a 100 different people and all that they love them, they end up hurting alot! Why? Because when they say "I love you" They mean "I love you" Wheras the other even though they may want to or think that they do mean it when they say it, what they are actually saying is "I like you alot" Becasue they really dont know what real love is!

Now what you need to ask yourself is, whether this guy is capable of returning your feelings the way you want. As in do you want him to like you alot? Or do you want him to love you? Now If you want love you need to know is that something he is capable of! If not... Well things will end with you hurting! If you just want him to like you alot then hey, go for it, even though it may end fairly soon and all you wont hurt too bad and you will move on.

Now the thing is though that at your age even though you might think you are in love... it probably is what people refer to as "Puppy love" which I dont think is right at all becasue when someone has those feelings at any age it means just the same thing! Anyway just ask yourself can he return your feelings and if he cant but wants to be with you anyway you need to ask can you handle the fact that your feelings arent being returned!

I hope that I said that in a way that does make sense. I mean the main point is that some people can handle hurt alot better than others, just the same as some can really love while others only think they can!
