Default Looks good in writing, but applicable in real life? Men vs Women...

Well this isn't really men vs. women but I hope that got your attention seeing as how the line before it is boring as hell.

OK, all this talk about men getting rid of the ridiculous feminine qualities that simply 'appeared' upon them got me hungry for action, but then I remembered "Oh yeah, I've read this same shit tons of times." It looks great when you read about it and such, but in real life it's like "no way..."

I'm not saying guys should ditch all their emotions, I'm saying let's ditch the worst emotion of all: timidness. That's fucking right, being timid is the WORST emotion for most situations possible.

And for some reason, I always find myself second-guessing myself as to whether I should talk to this person, or do this thing, and feel like I owe a great debt of service to everyone on the planet. Obviously this needs to change, and I know there are more guys that feel like this.

I've already made many changes, and sometimes I lose any sense of timidness and that's great but the rest of the time it's there. I seem to lose it when I'm busy and not thinking about the person I'm talking to, when my mind is elsewhere.

Just looking for other people's input on this.

i disagree. weakness is the worst emotion or state of being there is. timidness, to me, just says this person perhaps overthought something. at least theyre thinking.

Ok, so let me rephrase to say something like: How not to act 'weak' and how not to overthink things? I overthink things a hell of alot more than I should, trust me on that one (I've thought about it alot :P)

usually, overthinking is an outlook stemming from insecurity or at best nervousness.

weakness is a personality trait, but the consequences of it are the emotions of insecurity and self-pitty, which is by far the most unattractive thing to a female. If your insecure, or you feel bad about yourself, a female is going to pick up on it, and she is not going to be attracted to you because of it. As a rule, chicks normally dont give pitty fucks.

Wow I'm about to agree with whiteass for once! Yea women tend to pick up on these things. I know I used to be very timid for fear of some form of rejection. (whether it be friends, girls, whatever) I started to make myself go through whatever it was I was second-guessing and whatever happens, happens.

This is not to say you shouldn't think about it, common sense is a good thing to have and use. But in a situation where you KNOW you are just being timid try to force yourself to to do it. Willpower is a good thing to develop.

"I owe a great debt of service to everyone on the planet."

You don't. You will never please everyone. The most you will achieve by trying is wearing yourself out and taking care of everyone except yourself.
