Jesus dude, when I was in 7th grade I cared more about computers than girls, how about you quit trying so hard, quit flaunting your money around, and quit trying to find a gold-digger. When I was in middle school a kid who brought a PDA/Laptop in would infact be considered a nerd, that's just the way it is. When I was in Middle School I used to have a palm pilot to (untiil I sold it on ebay and bought a new video card). I'm 15 now and I'm going into 10th grade and I haven't been laid yet. And I've only had one girlfriend. I also have rich parents but they dont usually buy me alot of stuff. My mom buys me nice clothes but I dont like to where them because it makes others jealous and they judge me before they know me and label me a rich kid. I also love computers and I've always wanted a Tux stuffed animal. Anyways, you need to ask yourself, whats more important: Getting laid, or being yourself. If getting laid is more important than you need to ditch the PDA, stop wearing rich kid clothes, try to make yourself look attractive, and find a girl. If that doesn't work, then go back to being yourself. Once you get out of high school you'll be able to find a girl who you really have a lot in common with. But for some reason its really hard to find girls in high school that are into computers.

I don't think he's more "mature" per se. Intelligence is one thing, emotional intelligence is another.
