Why is it that a girl can be fully nude in a PG13 movie or R rated movie, but they never show a guy naked in anything but an NC17 (thats what they call it where I live) or a X movie? I see this as totally not fair, and stupid. Don't give me the bullshit excuse "Well, life isn't always fair", I want facts. It pisses me off. Please help.

Um, I am not 12 years old. I have watched Old School and most of those movies. All they have are the top half showing, or a guys ass. I ment the frontal view. No movies show that. It's just chest, ass or upper body.

Above-the-waist female nudity and naked booty are allowed in PG-13 if the shots are brief and not "numerous". Even still, it won't be allowed if other elements such as violence, language, use of drugs or "adult situations" are also present up to the limit.

MPAA "guidelines" are pretty wacky. And for those who may not know, when you see a preview on TV and the announcer says "This film is not yet rated" it means the producers didn't like the rating the film got and are editing stuff out to achieve the rating they want.

you guys in the states really get screwed. most of those movies mentioned as R so far for you were either MA (15+) here or were R for reasons like violence or drugs or something. in australia i'm pretty sure you can see a naked guy in an MA movie, but i couldn't give a shit either way seeing as we can get naked girls into MAs. we can even get them into Ms so long as they don't show a nipple. must be a hard job as cinematographer for a bond movie trying to avoid that landmine.

Don't worry bout it, movie ratings are rediculous. Having any character regularly smoke cigarettes automatically earns a PG-13 rating, no questions asked. The rating system was devised by puritans who are too self involved to determine for themselves whether something is ok for children or not.

Thank you. I am not desperate, I would just like to know why they show a females body before the males body. It doesn't seem right, and if there's no logical explaination for it, then why is this? And frontal female nudity in R rated movies isn't as explicit, as all one sees is the pubic triangle. You never actually see a vagina, and probably never will.

Men will come to a flick knowing it has nudity to enjoy the nakedness of women. Women won't come to movies to enjoy the nakedness of men. That is why you see more female T&A than male shaft and balls.

However one must realise that seeing a flaccid penis really isn't equivelent to seeing nipples and ass, as stated above.

Hmm....I don't look for guys' wangs in movies, but I do recall naked dudes in Forrest Gump. You know, when gump is getting out of the shower in the locker room. That's PG-13.

One reason is that the male genitals are visible. In R-rated movies, the most you see is bush, so it's not actually showing the vagina. I've never seen an r-rated movie where the woman opens her legs in full view.
