What age difference percentages are acceptable?
Okay before i thought it was okay to date somebody upto 2 years diffrent in age if you are over 18. And below eighteen diffrences 1 year or more were not tolerated. But some girl named Christa (I haven't changed people names, Because that would waste valuble time) in my grade 7 class was daiting a guy in grade 8 named Chris Ruddy Or Rudeh Or something like that. (It's funny their first names are almost the same). So i was wondering what people opinions are on this subject.

Why make artificial barriers limiting your possibilities?

Re: What age difference percentages are acceptable?
All depends. I've seen some wacky discrepancies in ages work. My fiance is considerably younger than me. But he's enviably self-actualized and I'm immature for my age, so it works.
quote:Before considering any relationship with age difference, one should keep in mind these three things:
First, both partners should be old enough to have experienced life and thus mature enough to understand the life and its necessities. Both need to be adults.
Second, neither of the two partners have a problem with the difference in years.
Finally, the two must have that connection between them which make them right for each other.
From this article (http://www.datingmatchmakers.com/wedding/age-difference-in-relationship.aspx). But I don't agree with everything in that article, except in a very general sense.

Re: What age difference percentages are acceptable?
anything up to 3 year difference while in high school is ok, as long as both parties are ok with it

Re: What age difference percentages are acceptable?
From what I remember of middle school, it was "ok" for people to date within 1 grade of each other (which really meant age didn't matter, sometimes you get young kids in a class and sometimes you get kids held back. You get the idea).
From high school, it was a general rule of sorts that you stick to other people in high school, and it didn't matter which grade they were in.
Once you're out of high school, you really don't see anyone who would care (because let's face it, that's the only reason people shy away from younger kids) who you're dating so it doesn't matter.
As someone who is out of school, though, I will say around 3 years either way is rather normal, and as you get older the gap widens.
