A few of you may have read some of my posts about the girl i like from youth group. Anyways, tonight i was swimming at my friend's house right down my street. He goes to my youth group as well. This kid has been my friend since i was 4. My friend was trying to get me to guess who he likes, and finally he says it is someone in our youth group. Finally he tells me the person, and HOLY SHIT, it's the same person i like! I was pissed, but i kept my cool. I need to calm down a bit though. What should i do about it? Next time I see the girl i'm for sure gonna ask her out. Thanks

You should ask her out. If she likes you better, then you will be chosen, if not, then tough shit, move on.

If it were me in your situation, I would first approach him and let him know that you have liked her for a while and have been trying to work up the courage to ask her out. Let him know that you are not just asking her out just because you know he'll get jealous etc. Tell him you're sorry that it worked out this way, but you really do like her.

Yeah, what they said, you really should tell your friend how you feel about this girl. Then before he has a chance to get any sort of competition started, ask her out. If she says no, she says no. If she says yes then you get to laugh in your friends face (not reccomended but you could do it). Odds are if she finds out ya'll are competing for her, she won't go out with either of you. And if trouble starts with him, then stuff will start with her. So come to terms with your friend first, then handle the girl
