Default Sin of Sex

While reading some past post I came across several that held many closed minded people posts. About several different things, some i totally agreed with, while others i totally disagreed, and even more I just plainly skipped due to lack of intrest. Now granted every one is intitled to their own opinion, that's what make this world go round. Free speech. So is Sex a sin? Is being pleasured a sin? Whether your straight, gay, lez, bi, what ever the case may be. Whether you have a preference or a true fetish, or like watching two guys go at, or two girls, or an orgie.

Some one wrote in one of their posts, that every thing is a sin now days. If you agree then every thing is a sin, if you disagree then every thing very well could be a pleasureble experience. So therefore, since I enjoy very much to be pleasured, I'd have to disagree.

What do all of you think?

i dont believe that everything is a sin but i think we are made to believe that anything that is too good or too enjoyable is a sin.

is sex ment to be for reproduction and thats its only purpose?

if so why is it soo damn good?!

^^To ensure that it happens, say the "reproductionists". While this might be true, it might be an incomplete answer. I don't presume to know the complete answer.

From what I've seen and heard, anyone who thinks sex is a sin only thinks that because someone told them to think that. Such folks who claim this opinion as their own can rarely give valid reasons, other than "because I say so and that's my opinion". In other words, it may be an opinion, but it's an uninformed one.

even in the very narrow minded, bigoty circles i come from most christians don't consider sex (albeit only in the bans of lawful marriage) a sin as such.

although of course all forms of sodomy both homo and hetro remain an anathema!

Is this another "because we said so" thing, or is there a line of reasoning behind it?

Sex is God's gift to marriage.

If you want to get into a true Judeo/Christian (not tainted donominational type 'Christian') context.

well reasoning sort of...the penis was made by GOD (they got that right!) for insertion into the vagina -anything else is a 'perversion' of this function.

ps.oral sex is also forbidden.

Source? This sounds rather apocryphal. Remember, "making stuff up" does not qualify as a line of reasoning.

oh its based on what st.paul said in one of his letters (can't be arsed to look) but about 'joinings clean/unclean'( unclean =shit on dick?)

also cos man was made in god's image (1.moses)etc etc and then all the prohibtions in the books of the law .

but i'm not a theologian as we were taught that woman haven't the brains for theology etc.

^^Thus, you've proved my point in my original post. You don't have an actual opinion other than what you've been told to think.

I had reason to believe that they were. You referred to the circles where you come from. That would have been a good time to disclaim that you don't follow the herd. Plus, these ideas were consistent with your overall viewpoints on other posts. If you're joking when you refer to someone as a "sodomite" it's not at all apparent.

i thought my tone made my stance clear- for example as to the penis being created by god i added '(they got that right)'.

and i said 'narrow minded, bigoty'. hardly descriptions that would indicate my agreement

i have also made clear that i enjoy sleeping with women and don't consider to do so being unfaithful (for which i got more than a few flames). that's sooo 'christian' lifestyle..

i believe that my man is set in authority above me. that he carries the responsibilty for my actions before god and therefore whatever he says in bed (and not just there) goes.

so if he says its not a sin for us to have anal sex then i know its ok.

and yes sodomite it was similar to the exclusive brothers. women wore head scarfs and weren't allowed to speak during the service etc.

you are all fucking fruit cakes, sex was demonized by the cathlic church as a means to also demonize the long standing pagan religions in which women had equal, or better rights and sex was considered a buetiful religios act and a way to comunicate with god.

Who said anything about sex with fruitcakes? While they're moist and probably better suited for fucking than for eating, we're talking about sex among people here.

As far as the rest of what you said, duh. Still comes down to the notion that people see sex as a sin because someone else told them so.

Hey, us fruitcakes are people too!

ON_TOPIC:

I'm not religious, so I have no concepts of sin versus not sin in anyway useful to this conversation.

I agree that people consider sex a sin because of others opinions, but thats true with everything. Original thought is dead. every thing is based on something else, you can not create, you can only modify

It's just the bible says that fornication is bad. That's about it. Bible sees sex as fine, God gave it to us for a reason. It's just contraception and sex before marraige is demonized. Not the act itself.
