Advice required.
I met a girl on another forum in which I post where we posted our pics and basically liked each other, anyway we talk on MSN evey day and she seems to be really nice.
We were talking about meeting each other and I would like to see her but I'm just kind of worried about it, not about meeting up, OK I'd be quite nervous initially but I'm worried if it didn't work out.
Do they relationships work when people meet this way?
I like to meet girls face to face but I'd like to meet up and see how it goes as we do get on really well online.
Ideas and advice please..

Sometimes it can be tricky. If you actually plan to make the transition from "online" to "Real life" it might be best to avoid making any promises. Certain things you just can't tell from knowing someone only online: bathing habits, hideous skin diseases, the tendency to pick one's nose/ears/scabs/toenails, halitosis, annoying speech habits, braying laughter (not cute, but embarrassing)...I'm sure there's more.
I just posted that yesterday in another thread, which is still on the front page.
Be realistic and try to shed expectations and assumptions. Many online liaisons are rooted in fantasy and idealistic notions about the other person.
It works for some people and not for others. Don't pay much attention to those who "guarantee" it won't work because either they don't know, or it didn't work for them.

Can't hurt I suppose. At least you're going to be able to meet her. She doesn't live halfway across the coutry from you does she? Otherwise you should probably just forget it.

She lives about 200 miles away.
A train journey, 'sall.

That isn't too far, so go for it.

Re: Advice required.
Well, I've never been in this situation but I would say you shouldn't make any commitments until you know what she's really like. Don't even tell her you 'like her' that way until you've met her, because honestly, you don't even know if you like her.
But sure, I'd meet her. All you've got to lose is an 'on line pal' and they're like a dime a dozen-thousand.

Don't you have better things to do?
