Hey, I really like this girl, and she likes me, but she doesn't want to be in a relationship now. She has a slight history with weird guys trying to get with her, but she had dated this guy for a little while and it was just crazy... She really beats herself up for going out with him, but that was like 3-4 months ago. Does it take that long to get your head straight? I don't want to rush her or try and be a dick or anything, I just want to know maybe what to expect.

How long it takes her to get over him depends on her and various aspects of the relationship.

Your best off to just wait and be a good ear if needed and don't rush her the last thing you want is to be a rebound.

being a good ear is a great way to end up a friend. stay just close enough in contact to figure out when you want to try someting on her.

It's not quite crazy, but she's being a little hard-line about it, perhaps. Though I know I won't be dating any woman who starts to give me a "Kelly" feel anytime soon, even if she's the woman for me (it would reveal itself in time).

Just move on. Done, done, on to the next one.

Here's a cliche: expect the unexpected.

Then again, guys are the same way. They'll say that females are "illogical" but then they'll turn around and say we're "predictable". Maybe 'cause both are true, depending on the circumstances.

I don't advocate game playing, but if you start going out with someone else, she's likely to snap out of her issues and come to you. So this isn't so much game-playing as it is a matter of simply going on with your life. No need to wait around for her to decide your fate.
