What do you mean exactly? Online relationships that stay online or that lead to RL relationships? If the former; if that's what makes you happy it's harmless enough, although kind of unfulfilling. If the latter; sure they can work out great. If there's distance involved that factors in to the equation in a negative way, e.g. you can't possibly financially see him/her very often, be prepared for a failed relationship.

Okay buddy, just kidding with ya. What I am trying to point out is yes, online to RL relationships can work out great, take a look at VA and Berith <sp?>, so far seems nice and tidy.

I've been in two that worked out great, just didn't last for eternity. The main point I was making is the distance part of the equation... if it keeps you online more than IRL it will be hard to make work, not impossible, just difficult. K?

Sometimes it can be tricky. If you actually plan to make the transition from "online" to "Real life" it might be best to avoid making any promises. Certain things you just can't tell from knowing someone only online: bathing habits, hideous skin diseases, the tendency to pick one's nose/ears/scabs/toenails, halitosis, annoying speech habits, braying laughter (not cute, but embarrassing)...I'm sure there's more.

If it will stay entirely online, then, what the hell, it's a harmless diversion for the socially inept. (that would be me.)

I wouldn't have done it if I had a flesh and blood relationship, she would have probably got pissed, and I wouldn't want someone I was seeing to dhave an online thing with another guy. A-tuin - I suggest the quicker your friend Ben meets this girl Kirstin the better.That is the best way to get him out of this fanatsy he thinks he is in love with . If not, let nature take it's course and he will tire with the on-line antics eventually .
