oral herpes is common and not a problem. Genital herpes is a lifelong PAINFUL ailment that comes and goes (and comes back when you're stressed and really don't want it) and it's NOT worth a fuck.

And no, condoms don't protect against it.

Herpes is only contagious during an outbreak. If she's not having an outbreak, it cannot spread.

I know a married couple where the wife had herpes. They had sex accoring to her outbreaks and the husband (as far I know) still doesn't have it. They refuse to use condoms because of their religion or something.

Even if she's not having an outbreak you should still wear a condom because that .00001% chance you have of contracting it will come and bite you in the ass if you don't.

People with STI's aren't doomed from not ever again having sex. It's just they have to be more careful. They shouldn't be treated as dirty lepers becaus not all people that have, unfortunately, caught a disease is a dirty whore.

Personally, the only way I would risk it is if the person was my boyfriend. I'd have to love someone a lot to risk my health for.

Exactly my point. Sexuality is part of world culture and there needs to be programs that teach responsibility in sex. Bush is trying to make a country of abstinent, christian republican drones.

Of course it is perfectly safe. Herpes are not contageous at all even during outbreaks. Infact I've heard Herpes actually enhance sexual intercourse because all of the little bumps rubbing up against the penis. I would suggest not using a condom during outbreaks to get the full effect of the Herpes rubbing against your penis.
