Question for the ladies
I know this has happened in the past, but I never really thought about it until just recently so I can only really remember the latest thing here.
So, I walk into work on my first day, and I smile and said 'hi' to this hot asian girl that I'd noticed when I picked up the application. She didn't really respond to me at all, or else I didn't notice anything.
Oddly enough, a couple days later and she's talking her ass off to me and we get to know eachother.
So my question is, what's the deal with girls not being...err...'friendly' at first with me? Is it that I make a bad first impression, or that I come across as bold and outgoing by smiling at them and saying 'hey' as if I've known them forever and it surprises them into not reacting? Well I can't really find the words to say exactly what I want to say cause my brain is fried, but hopefully you guys catch my drift.

Re: Question for the ladies
Maybe she thought you were just passing by and had more important shit to get through than some stranger trying to chat her up. Now she knows you're co-workers she'll take the time to talk to you.
And maybe you're the elephant man.
