Just an observation
I don't know what you believe in, but I think that nature, god, allah, budah, baldo, etc. has fucked over the male part of the human species. Let me explain... In most species on earth, the male and females are about equal strength or the female is stronger. Because of this arrangement, the males had to become colorful and beautiful in order to attract the female of the species. This I can understand and except.
For some reason, something decided to make the male and female aspect of our species different. Physically the male is stronger, I'm not trying to piss anyone off but, on average, this is true. Now, because of this fact, the male was not given any bright plumage or extreme sex appeal. We attracted females by our physical prowess and their need for protection in an uncivilized world. For thousands of years this made up for our lack of sex appeal. This all changed once humans started to become more and more 'civilized'. Women no longer need men for protection from the world and now our lack of sex appeal starts to shine through.
Think about it ladies, how often do you see guys you would love to have sex with just because of their bodies? I'll give you a hint... A lot less than the amount of girls a guy would like to have sex with. You can chalk that one up to testosterone, but is that all?
Let's take the two versions of the human body, male and female. The female body has all of these wonderful curves and hidden mysteries that await the lucky, while the male body is basically this... [] that's right it's a fucking rectangle or maybe an upside down triangle depending on who you are. For further proof, may I point out the current trend in what is considered male sexiness.Hmmm... It's metrosexuals You know those very sensitive guys that dress in unisexual clothes and look sort of like girls. Don't believe me, well turn on the TV and watch any of those pop culture shows like One Tree Hill or someother such nonesense.
I'm not saying all girls think this way. You can never make such a broad statement, but I would be willing to bet that a majority of women feel this way. I consider myself a manly man and I refuse to become a metrosexual in any way so fuck it. If my only girlfriend in the future is kinda a wide, has no head, and 5 close friends... well so be it.
Peace,
Baldo

Good terms make threads suck, bad terms makes people laugh! so no good terms and let the bad terms begin!

Re: Just an observation
Evolve or die.
Not a sentiment I take personally. Whatcha gonna do? Make your own sub-speciies of people that are attracted to each other without metrosexuality and live on your own continent of live underground and then look all grosse and obsese and have your own language and spend more time making an efficient culture instead of on your clothes and aAHasehafs. Actually, dont' do that. It sounds kinda scary.

Why not devolve?
We can go back to the old cavemen days and slam a brick on the back of that special someone. Then just drag her back to the old cave and have your way with her. In the morning she can make your favorite eggs and esspresso. Shit, that would rock!

Are you suggesting the next stage of male evolution is meterosexuals?
...the horror....

Re: Just an observation
Baldo, what you said isn't entirely true. In most mammal species, the males are dominant. Have you ever seen a cattle farm? The bulls are often kept seperate from each other because they are immensely strong and will attack each other. With deer and sheep, the males are the only ones with horns or antlers. Many pack mammals have an alpha-male that basically rules over the entire pack.
It's mostly mammals that have dominant males. Otherwise, it depends on what kind of animal you're talking about. It could be one or the other.

Re: Just an observation
Pharamones. Females let out a scent when they are horny and instintivly you know, not conciously. Then de-evolving doesn't sound so bad.

Re: Just an observation
GoodOlWillickers, I stand corrected(for some reason I was thinking about ducks, I guess it was because a male duck and a female duck where outside of my window. I still feel that we have evolved past the point where that alpha male dominance means anything anymore from a relationship standpoint. In fact, I know of a lot of women who prefer there men not be dominant at all, where as earlier in our evolution that dominance would have been a highly desirable trait.

Re: Just an observation
Sorry nocuous, I couldn't let your statement stand. Every single male that is not metrosexual is not necessarily obese and hideous. Is it possible that there might be some men still out there that think that they shouldn't cry? Men who tape back on missing fingers and then drive themselves to the hospital? Men who feel that beer and beef jerkey is a four course meal, god damn it?

Re: Just an observation
it strikes me as weird when you have metrosexuals (i hate that term!) on the one hand and these days it seems fashionable for girls to walk round like fat little witches with stupid trousers and spiky bags

Re: Just an observation
If we accept that males are rather mundane in appearance (I don't agree, but for the sake of argument) then we can accept that it's fortunate that most "thinking" females don't judge their mates strictly on appearance.

Re: Just an observation
female black widow spiders eat the male after they finish mating, that would suck if humans did that too.
