Default Sex with friends

When 2 friends (guy and girl) have an all sex no strings attached relationship, it has been said on totse time and time again that 1 of them will develop feelings for the other

So...going by this I ask

Who is more likely to, the guy or the girl?

I read an article in the New York Times magazine recently that said that alot of people are doing this, and that it's becoming far more prevalent than the traditional 'dating' type relationship.

Wierd. Until recently, I never knew this type of stuff existed.

Actually, throughout my life, I have been rather naive, when it comes to social and cultural stuff. Thank goodness for totse.

certainly tends to make life a lot simpler.(yet complicated at the same time? once feelings develop) at least no worries about "cheating" since you're not offiical.

^^Treacle-bun, your thread has been here about an hour and a half. It's too soon to appear to be demanding answers, especially during a relatively low totse traffic time.

Anywho, it is most often the female, because females more than males will enter a fuckbuddy situation for the wrong reason: in hopes it will turn into "something more". Also, females, more than males, are picky about who they fuck, and are likely to choose someone "good" who's also appropriate "relationship material" How can she not develop feelings?

I think fucking "friends" works, but only if the friend you choose is completely inappropriate for a relationship.

in my experience its always me.... but more often than not, it's the person who's more conservative about who they fuck. in most cases this is the girl, but sometimes guys (especially nice guys) get into this position.

Get three or four * fuck buddies *, that way

you'll never do without. Also getting hung up

on just one is less likely.

if guy is inexperienced he will first

otherwise the girl will

also if girl is extremely hot the guy will get attached faster.

girls, it's a biological thing, i could explain, but........ i don't really feel like it (has something to do, with men tryin to get as much offspring as they can, and females lookin for someone to look after the produced offspring)

if the guys not got more than a few notches on his belt, for sure him.

otherwise, it becomes a thing of life circumstances. for reasons said though, most of the time its a girl.

what i find interesting about this is the article from the NYT. it just shows we are becoming so fucked up and clueless, that we are getting to not be able to stand each other. and i like that.

The concept of having a fuckbuddy (or fuckbuddies) is stupid. Why risk emotional pain and the contraction of STD's for an orgasm? Masturbation is not that bad. People who go around casually having sex are ungrateful and are generally selfish.

girl.

don't know why, girls just tend to get more clingy and have a bunch of fucked up feelings they think they need to resolve.

Here is another question along the same lines...

I am one of those girls who is in love or "thinks" she's in love with a guy.

This guy is a good friend of mine. He knows how I feel, but he doesn't feel the same way.

He just thinks I'm hot and if he were to care about me, it would only be in a "friendly" way.

Recently we've been throwing around the idea of us having sex together (fuck buddies) and we've already done a lot of stuff together, we just haven't had sex.

I want to have sex with him because I know that it would be really good with him because I'm so attracted to him. I also know that he would try his best to make it enjoyable for me and meet all my sexual needs.

The only thing is, I'm worried that since I have such deep feelings for him that if we had sex it would be harder for me to get over him and then I'll just end up getting really hurt in the end.

I know that only I can make this decision.

I would just like to know your opinion on it.

Some people have told me that sex is just sex, I shouldn't expect anything from it, I should just do it for the pleasure of sex.

I would like to do that, I would like to have my feelings not included in the entire thing. It's just that I don't think I would be able to do that.

Should I go for it? Knowing that I'd be risking getting a broken heart.

Or not go for it? Forever wondering what would have happened if I did.

Sounds like you know your options. No one here knows better than you what's best for you. However, I would suggest that you needn't "wonder what would have happened" because the broken heart scenario is inevitable.

Good sex is fun and broken hearts heal eventually, so it's up to you to weigh the consequences. If you go for it, just be sure you can handle the inevitable day when he has a girlfriend and has to cut you off.

Mmmm.

I've done this before. In fact, the second guy I ever slept with was a "fuck buddy."

It ended badly. Even though we used protection EVERY SINGLE TIME, we had a pregnancy scare (the damn thing CAME OFF), and he told me to get an abortion. Bastard. So that was the end of that. But anyway, in my experience, it's generally the girl that ends up with feelings. Most guys would LOVE a no-strings-sex friend, but they're apparently pretty hard to come by. I think deadlycindy got it right the first time.

^^^ I have heard some women say that if you let a man inside you, he'll always be "with"

you. I look at it like this, that someone who gets that close to you, will more likely be appearing on the * Stage * of your thoughts.

The more someone appears on * Center Stage * of your thoughts, the more obsessive you're likely to become. There has been some science

studies that say we must taste & smell each other to become truly in * love *.

Well, the more actual sensory input from someone you receive, the more likely they are

to be on-Stage. No?

Say for instance me (or anyone), if you & I, total strangers, started having hot love 3 times a week until September. We'd find it somewhat hard to not think about each other for the next 50years. Whether we wanted to or

not.

But, say we only see each others' posts until

the same time & then never more. We'd be hard

pressed in, say, 5years to even remember a thing about each other. If we thought of each

other at all.

No scents, sounds, pictures (real/inhead), knowledge of mannerisms. As opposed to just words on a screen.

Young women get hung up easy, it comes with the territory. Is your life full otherwise?

~ UPDATE ~

The guy I was going to have sex with doesn't want to have sex with me anymore because he's "met a girl"

Better now than later I always say

At least now I can save myself the inevitable heartache which would have come from it
