Default Need help quick

A female friend of mine was having sex with her bf a couple of night ago and the condom split.

She cant get the morning after pill because she should have got it today but its too late for her to go out without her parnets knowing (she was underage).

And tommorow will probably be to late for the pill so shes going to have a test instead.

If it does come out possitive - what can she do without going to see her GP (keeping i mind the pill is to late) to sort things out.... anything available over the counter at a pharmicist?

And if she was to go see her GP would the GP be obliged to tell her parnets because she is only 15?

EDIT: She is really worried about this - so some good advice and reassurance would be very helpful

Emergency contraception has a chance of being effective within 5 days, though obviously the chances go down the longer one waits. http://www.plannedparenthood.org/ec/

If you're in the USA, doctor obligations vary by state. Sometimes it's an issue of how payment is made. Through parent's insurance? Yes, they will be informed.

Check out the rest of the Planned Parenthood site and consult your local PP clinic for the laws in your state.

No, there is this thing called Doctor-Patient Confidentiality, unless she signs a release saying they have her permission to tell her parents then it is illegal and they cannot do so. And if they do, she can sue them for malpractice...I love the laws of America

Send her to my flat, I'll punch her in the stomach and I'm not afraid of doing it if I get her pregnant any time soon either.

Oh my, to avoid spreading misinformation, let's clarify this. In the case of minors, the laws vary state to state. I'm not inclined to look up the statutes for every individual state, but those under 18 shouldn't rely on doctor-patient confidentiality as a rule of law unless they've researched their own state's laws.

I'd say wait it out, it doesn't sound like you can do anything more then that. If she is pregnant, then they'll have to see into getting an abortion, or putting the kid up for adoption if she doesn't want to keep it.
