How old are you first? If you are above like 18, it doesn't really matter, it personal preference, but remember, your virginity is something you will NEVER get back. If you are younger, I suggest a boyfriend who you trust and love and are willing to give something that you will never get back to...someone who will appreciate it and always remember it...If you are young and you get a fuck buddy...your fuck buddy and all his friends and all their friends will label you as a slut and as being easy...think about your future and your reputation before making a decision that big. For me, im a guy and im 16 and im still a virgin. I think about wanting to fuck a bunch of girls, but i know i wouldnt if the oppurtunity arose. Personally, i wouldnt want to have sex w/ any random girl. For me, it would have to be w/ a girl that i cared about and who cared about me just as much. I am not quite sure I understand what the big deal about someone's virginity is. Flame me if you want, but it just seems like you spend half your life saving something as if it is some possession that you can physically hold in your hand. Once you "lose" it, everyone expects to be a different person, or to look at the world differently or as a different person, but guess what, you are the same person.

I think the only issue with virginity is that it's regarded in the way Avenge (see above) described, so it affects how a person views sex for, possibly, the rest of their lives. If a person has a great first experience, s/he has a positive, free-minded attitude toward sex afterward. If a person has a less-than-positive first experience, his/her attitude toward sex will appropriately reflect that.

This is all assuming, of course, that the first time is consensual; abuse or rape is going to create different issues.

Thank you, I am 19...I lost my virginity when I was 15 and I don't regret it luckily. I believe really heavily in fate...what happens was meant to happen...I also believe that you will make the right choice when the time comes. And sure its hard when your friends talk about it all the time, but its also admirable that you don't sleep around and you still have bit of innocense that so many people have givin away, you think you are missing out on something, but really you have something that a lot of girls wish they still had themselves...now I am not saying don't ever have sex, sex is fun, sex is great, but I have slept with girls that I didn't love and a girl that I did...and it is soooo much better when you are in love than when its meaningless sex...keep that in mind

I'm 18.
