Default Boyfriend Help

My friend is odd. She's never been able to have a boyfriend because she freaks out when they start to like her back and she inturn pushes them away.

She describe's her problem with guys, "like everytime something may or may not happen i get all scared and nervous and uncomfortable and like run away ha."

Any ideas?

Alrite, seriously... tell her to be open about her feelings. Idk about other guys, but im insecure and am scared as shit of girls. Tell her not to be intimidated b/c the guys are probably just as intimidated by her. And if they aren't they probably aren't worth her time. I know I would wanna hear the truth if I was the guy in the situation b/c I would be understanding about it, so maybe you should tell her to look for guys who can do that(im not suggesting anything about me). Idk what else to say...

Commitment issues? Intimacy issues? Puberty?

Since you didn't mention age it's harder to give meaningful advice. And experience, which I have to take as 'inexperienced' or she wouldn't be having this problem.

She'll need to step back and take a deep breath and try to realize she needs to allow a little trust into her life. If she's afraid of being hurt. That's my prognosis on the info you've given.

We all go through trying to make sense of our feelings and experiment.. use what works to the best advantage and discard what doesn't work, but not giving love or a relationship a chance to develop will leave you always posting on &totse for advice.

As for your role, support your friend and look out for her but keep your distance when she sticks her foot in the water. Be there if needed but back off if the situation warrants.
