Default Dont ya hate the 'Best Friend" Tag?

I hate it when u try to hook into a chick, and as ur getting closer to them all of a sudden ur their 'best friend'. There goes any relationship u could have had with them.

Ok i better explain myself. theres this gorgeous chick at my school and lately ive been 'tappin in' (just flirting and shit with her). Anyway just when im about to try and make things a bit more serious she chucks the best friend tag on me. So one of my other friends tries to find out if i have a chance with her and no i dont because we r best friends. Damn it sucks!

Anyway there isnt really much point in this thread besides my bitching. Later

Next time you start flirting with a new girl, while she is in flirting mode with you and really into it, you make a "friend comment" and act "friendly" before she does. It will fuck with her head. Then later when you are flirting again (which should happen since most chicks are vain enough to want to be desired even when they are not interested) pull away again and throw her in there again. Keep switching/sending mixed signals till she is spinning her wheels trying to get out of the friend zone.

Dude...It comes down to one thing.

Basically you have to let the girl know you don't want to be friends...You want something more.

It's better to lay your cards on the table for her to see rather than have the disappointment that comes with being labeled her friend!

It sounds nasty and/or chauvanistic...But it's better to tell the truth than lie right?

Girls like honesty.

i am the "best friend" with two girls. They talk to me about all their problems, and im more than happy. Because of it, i know more about chick logic than most chicks do. PLus, i can test all my theories and manipulation practices on them (fuck you if you get offended, its gotten to the point where girls are more of a experiment and learning experience than pleasure). I can tell they both are attracted to me, and would both fuck me. But as of now were all happy in the friend category. Plus it feels good to be able vent and ask for a second opinion about the shit i do.

"When she sees I'll do anything she wants, she's bound to respect me"--Milhouse Van Houten

It's fine and good to be best friends with the opposite sex if that's what you want, but it sucks to be so by default.

Psycho has it right. Don't be friends if you want to be more! Believe it or not, you have that choice, and it's not chauvinistic or rude. I've said this before: don't buy her gifts, don't "hang out" because she has the time due to lack of romantic prospects, don't tolerate discussions about other guys.

Essentially, don't allow someone else to call all the shots when it comes to defining your association with them.

The New Model sees this thread and the problems presented herein. We would like to say that honesty is a dead thing, that innocence has died along with it, and that to get anywhere with anything, one must take advantage of a situation. Lie, cheat, beg, and steal, and one will go far, women included.

I've come to realize, that even when you're in the "best friend" zone, the possibility of a relationship/one night stand/whatever you're into is still there. It usually gives you better chances. Although in most cases (and yes, most people are this shallow, not ALL, but most) if you're in the "best friend zone" and you're ugly... you're stuck there. Fact of life. Still could be a good thing though. Tis an opportunity to delve into the psyche of the opposite sex.

Whiteass... almost every post I've read by you sounds exactly like something I'd say/do. Very VERY strange.

Well im not exactly the most ugly person around but im definatly not up to this girls standards. I think she is a bit shallow to some extent.

Anyway ive decided theres no point trying to go further, i think she found out that i like her and she is backing off a little. Im just gonna stay best friends with her (hey theres nothing wrong with that, shes actually a great friend) and eventually find a new girl

Thanx for all of your posts everyone.

All I can say to all of you is HAHAHAHAHAHA! I pity you fools. I'm dating my "Best Friend" and we were "best friends" for a year beforehand. Jealous?
