women taking the first step?
How many women here will actually take the first steps to initiate a relationship/sex? How many guys have been with a woman like that?
From my experiences, most women seem to believe strongly in gender roles and refuse to do anything in a relationship thats traditionally thought of as "the man's job". You'd think feminists would be at the frontlines proving they can do what men can do, but feminists are actually the ones who seem to adheare closest to these roles. Your feelings?

Re: women taking the first step?
well, all guys say they wish a girl would initiate a relationship. you know? but in reality, whenever a girl is really agressive, it tends to scare guys off. most guys get freaked out if a girl really comes on to them. now, there are other ways they can do it, but when a girl just comes right out and is open about it, guys get freaked out. they don't like being in the submissive position.

Re: women taking the first step?
"duty"
one time, it was my duty to make sure my friend didn't drink too much at a party, cause he had a job interview the next day.
cut to 4am, we find boxing gloves while trying to find thier stash, and proceed to drunkenly go at it for a few hours.
http://members.iinet.net.au/~emer/pics/back.jpg" width="90" height="90 (http://members.iinet.net.au/~emer/pics/back.jpg" width="90" height="90)
that was my back after it all.
the moral is, fuck duty, its alot more fun if you don't bother with it.
and some girls take the first step. they are called 'keepers'. fuck the whole shy submissive chick role. if you wanna play games buy a computer.

Re: women taking the first step?
I usually do the initiating, but I usually play the submissive role during sex. I don't know if that's unusual or not.

Re: women taking the first step?
"shy" and "submissive" aren't necessarily joined at the hip.
How is "initiating" a relationship defined? Even if the guy "makes the move" it could still be argued that women throw out the signals and present themselves as available and interested, which motivates the "making of the move".
Timing is an important factor. Sometimes it's "raining men" and, depending on my mood, I'll either choose the one that seems decent and doesn't make me work too hard, or I'll pick and choose (with great capriciousness) at my leisure. If there seems to be a drought, I'd rather retreat, but I've been known to pursue more proactively in rare situations.
btw, "feminism" is a misused concept. The only extent to which I believe in "feminism" is that I want the right to get justifiably angry and pissed off about something, just like guys can, without being ridiculed or hearing about PMS. I don't give a shit about any of that other "liberated" stuff.

I don't know. I like for girls to come on to me, but I'm not submissive.

Re: women taking the first step?
It depends on the situation. Sometimes I'm really confident, and sometimes I wait for the other person.
I do feel that even though a lot of guys say they want a girl to initiate sex, in the back of their mind they're thinking to themselves, well if she is like this with me, she's probably like this with A LOT of guys.

Re: women taking the first step?
It depends on your definition of making the first move. I initated it with my current boyfriend insofar as talking to him and getting him on chat. After a couple months, we had a conversation along these lines:
Me: So, have you seen this movie?
Him: No, but I hear it's cool.
Me: I want to watch it, but none of my friends want to go. Wish I could find someone to go with me.
Him: I kinda want to watch it too. Oh well.
To this day, I still maintain that that constitutes an invitation to go watch said movie with me. He says he was completely oblivious to the invitation. In his defense, he did finally work up the courage to ask me out a few months after that, so things worked out, but harumph!

Re: women taking the first step?
By making the first move, I mean the female will actually initiate conversation/date/sex/whatever.
I always thinks it's funny when women will try to get a guy's attention instead of just approaching him. I don't find anything wrong with either party approaching the other, but I do have a problem with women who think like hentei--"it's his duty". I've purposely ignored chicks who were trying to get me to come over to make the first move because I hate the idea of gender roles and refuse to further them.

Re: women taking the first step?
i wish a girl would, im sick of not knowing when i girl wants a relationship, its always like its your (the guy's) job to take the risk to fuck up a friendship, or if its not like that, then to make an ass of himself.
however, it is true that when a girl gets aggressive, it kinda scares me, but not because of i dunno whatever its suppossed to scare you, but it scares me because i think shes just fucking with me then when i respond shell be like
"ewww im just a slutty cunt that flirts with ugly guys like you because i flirt with everyone"
but i do wish that girls would be more aggressive with relationship starting, if more did then there would be less slutty bitchs like that.

Re: women taking the first step?
My last girlfriend asked me out, so did most other girls I've been out with, i think they want me to ask them, but I'm really bad at reading signs, so they dont ask me we dont go out most of the time.

Re: women taking the first step?
first step:
your at a party drinking, hot chick comes up gives you a hug and whispers follow me upstairs in your ear.
theres your first step and your at all in a submissive position. I think the thing is most girls dont want to come off as wanting sex, as it is their only power to attract males. And the more shy ones dont want to be thought of as sluts. So, to every guy out that there that has a called a girl a slut because she made the first move or just enjoys sex and is not afraid to admit it, fuck you.

Re: women taking the first step?
any guy that is intimidated by an aggressive girl is a sissy and should put his nuts in a jar and leave them at home when he goes out in public.
