I'm pretty young too (16) and I know a ton of you are going to say that I have nothing to be bitching about at my age, to which I say: fuck you, you're getting laid.

I'm only judging by the picture, but I'm guessing that you're not getting laid for the same reason that I'm not getting laid- you look a bit heavyset. Nobody likes fatties.

Man you're 16, I remember when I was that old I felt like you did, rest assured, youll probably get into a couple shitty relationships real soon, then youll focus on yourself more and that is when the chicks come. I'd also start cycling everyday, it tones well and does wonders for self confidence and also a nice endorphin rush which beats or equals getting laid, I'd say.

Well, the further you deviate from the average, the more challenging it is to find suitable company. How much effort do you put into finding someone? How much do you look beyond the obvious?

And to some extent, you do need to "actively pursue" a girl. This doesn't need to be in a zany, romantic-comedy movie style which borders on stalking. But you do need to invite her out for coffee or bowling or something, one-on-one. Some guys make a game of it all, and it works for some people, and someone is likely to post about it eventually.

So I guess the best solution would be cocaine, right? I'd lose weight and become more aggressive.

Joking aside, I think I would land firmly (heh) in the fat category. I don't look too fat, because I know how to dress (thank the gods for a sense of style, at least), but I think I'm fat.

In ref. to your cocaine comment, I think some type of Amphetamine would be better. You wouldn't eat for days on end, and you would be wildly talkative. But the days without sleep would eventualy drive you insane. Which is when you would lose interest in girls altogether. Then, only the could you be truely happy.

^that is true. By reading stuff you get ideas and some direction, but you really need to get out there. Try just saying hi to 3 unknown girls a day for a month. Don't worry about anything more than how many "hi's" and smiles you get back.

Not necessarily. Even back when I had a $100 a week habit, I still managed to be a bit chunky. Probably due to minimal excersize and the eating-cheap-carbohydrates-exclusively diet.

You can be a little overweight and still get play if you have a *really* good personality. I used to work with a girl who had to weigh at least 250 pounds, but she was going out with this lead singer for a local band. She was a blast to be around- incredibly witty and genial. This is, of course, the exception to the rule.

It can be a blessing in disguise- if you have the experience of being the fat guy (or chick), you have the experience of having to work extra hard for attention by having a good personality. Then, if you get your act together and get in shape, you'll still have that good personality *and* a good body, thereby giving you the advantage.

Weight only matters to the dumb shallow chicks that can't see past the outside or don't WANT to get to know a person. Weight is not you're main issue though. You say you have self-confidence, that should eliminate any stupid remarks made to you about weight, or your self in general.

You main problem, I think, is the same thing I have. I don't put myself out there. I am not in the "popular" crowd. I don't go to the parties and I don't date a different person every week. To me, being the way I am is better then being ... "used and abused" is a good way to put it.

But you know whats the good thing after all of this passes? Most of those "popular shallow" people fall on their asses come senior year, and thats when you begin to shine. Thats the time when everyone forgives and forgets all the shitty things that happened the past few years.

Just give it sometime and the ladies will flock to you. I promise.

I'd have to agree with you, your personality and intelligence are tops, so you can blame your lack of affection on the shallow character of the women you know.
