sex can generate some pretty intense emotions and hormone production. its possible that you've "kick started" her period back up. if it doesnt end in the next, oh say, 5 days, get it checked out.

Sexual activity can cause muscular contractions in that area. It was probably the tail end of her period that got forced out when you get hot and heavy.
