Default Time off?

This hasn't really cropped up with my, but I was just thinking about it today. If there is this chick/guy you like, and you find out they just broke up with their boy/girlfriend. Easy time to talk and get them on the rebound, but should you? A lot of times people will break up and then get back together with the person a couple of days later. Should you really try to get with someone you like the day they broke up? Or should you give them a little time?

You talk to them and give a shoulder to cry on. You show them you are the caring, loving, sensative person they really want and should be with. Even if they do end up getting back together, they will remember what you did. And once they're broken up for good, they will likely come to you.

Words of wisdom from a wise guy/girl (too lazy to check profile)

Fuck no, that is terrible advise. Girls don't fuck a shoulder to cry on and if they do, it is in a moment of weakness and then they regret it. If you must listen, do so and move on quickly. Don't be the nice guy she can whine too whenever she is not off having fun.

Yes, Easy Going's got it right. There's a fine line between caring for her and then being "the nice guy." Which means... yes, be there, but also go after what you want, which is her.
