I think they are hot, but for the most part I can't stand the personallities. Not to group them all together or anything, but I'm grouping them all together with this one. They all seem to be too whiny. Complaining about everything, all the time, and thinking their so cool for doing it.

i dont want to get into a pointless argument about which bands suck and which dont, but i cant help myself. the sex pistols are the ultimate punk band; not just because they practically invented the genre, not even because they influenced every single punk band since, but because they made great music that has stood the test of time (something that loc will not do).

also, i feel i have to defend rancid. ok they rip off the clash with almost every album they release and they've sold out in recent years, but theres no denying the quality of some the music they've produced. and if you're going to aspire to another band, who better than the clash?

i dont want to sound like one of those pricks who claims to be a fan of "proper punk" only, and that most stuff nowadays is bollocks, but in general that is true. in my mind theres no beating the likes of the sex pistols, the clash, sham 69, the damned, black flag, uk subs etc...but at the same time i do enjoy a lot of more recent stuff (eg rancid, nofx, pennywise, dropkick murphys, pistol grip, propagandhi), its just i dont think they'll have the same longevity.

anyway, ive gone way of the point (if there ever was one), but to conclude, please dont slag off bands that probably influenced every band in your cd collection and then have the nerve to call yourself "glitterpunk" (sorry to single you out)

now ive got that off my chest, i have to agree with the notion that most punk/goth girls are hot. its weird, because a lot of them are either too skinny or not particularly pretty but theres definitely something about them. i think its the short tartan skirts, torn tight t-shirts and big black boots (thats some good aliteration). in all i think their outfits are pretty slutty, and rebelliousness is notoriously sexy.

GlitterPunk: Good Charlotte are shit and I don't think much of Rancid. I find most goth/punk chicks annoying as hell too, due to the fact they only seem interested in the "alternative" image (which now might as well be mainstream), and being "hardcore", than really caring much about the true meaning and intent of what they're listening too - bands like Good Charlotte who are just a shallow stupid capitalist's version of "punk" to get shallow stupid people to like, and believe they are somehow "punk" and "alternative".

But, including Sex Pistols in your list is a massive injustice. If you don't know much about a particular band, even though they may initially look to you to conform to the same conventions as other shite bands, don't comment on them without acknowledging your own lack of knowledge.

Sex Pistols are great, innovaters, and true liberal punks.

My Girlfriend definitaley hit's the goth genre, but I don't know if that makes her any sexier. the "band following group", for lack of better words, with the highest ratio of sexy looking females is easily the jugallettes. Most jugalos are a bunch of little bitches that need to be constantly talking about weed and sex (albeit most of them have extreme trouble getting laid/getting return visits) to make them sound tough. But god damn, they have some hot females. And theyre all used to the usual jugallo bitches, so theyre pretty easy to pick up too.

And let me guess, there's the fourth group who consist of people like you, the conceited punks. Those who believe they are superior because they justify their tastes more with all the 'essence of punk' etc and look down on the other groups.

Perhaps you could consider some people in the other groups as more natural, true punks - perhaps you could consider that music is music, and the true essence of music is a formation of sounds in such a way as for you to enjoy listening to, not once but on a repeated basis. If these people listen to their respective punk bands for the music, rather than using theories and background knowledge ('essence of punk' ?) to justify their tastes, then in my opinion their decisions are more than justified and you have little right to look down on them for it.

Don't mistake me for any of those groups of people, I liken my tastes to a very broad range of music, basically being the stuff I like regardless of genre. I don't look down on people who don't agree with me, but respect their opinions. I do draw the line at what you wear and the whole stereotypical grunge/punk look that kids pick up on, I hate that.

Goth girls fucking suck, their mostly ugly anorexic girls who think cutting themselves is fun. Punk chics are for the most part awesome when their into punk for the music. The clothes and cuteness follows.

The Sex Pistols are awesome for what they contributed to punk rock overall. Their actual music is just ok.

Bands like Good Charolette, NOFX, Rancid, and Pistol Grip, give punk a bad name. They should all be shot at the nearest possible time.

I agree with you. There's a juggalo at my school, he is pretty dim (I sold him a slim 1/2 1/8 of weed for $35) but a decent guy. I'll be using my chemistry skills (nudge nudge wink wink.
