Default My Best Friend...

I am having a problems/complications with my best friend. He has been my best friend for over ten years, him and his brother. I have never told him how much his friendship meant to me, and how much it still does after all of this happened. I see him in the hallways at school, sitting reading, listening to music, etc. and it just brings back all the memories we used to have and I start to cry. All of a sudden, he starts accusing me of lying about all this different stuff, such as having two names on totse instead of just one, blocking him on aim/msn, and saying that he isn't as important as everyone else to me. All this isn't true. I have InimitableBallerina, I never blocked him on msn, and he is my best friend and is as if not more important then the rest of my friends. We used to be so close, almost like brother and sister, and now everythings going down hill. Why all of a sudden a problem?

I don't want to loose him as a friend, I have tried telling him I am not lying, but then he just tells me I am creating more lies, so that doesn't work. So tell me what do I have to, or what should I, do to make it better?

damn it, your so sincere, must.....not....flame....., i'm trying to show what little goodness i have

ok what ya gotta do it agree with him, if he fires an accusation, agree with him, but sound sory, he'll be confused as to what to say, he could realize that he's blowing it way out of proportion (whos to say he's not?) but more likely is that he'll be even more mad for a little bit, for some unexclamable reason to him, he really has no way to battle with someone who keeps admit defeat, so eventually he'll stop what he's doing

You already got a lot of replies in this thread:

http://www.totse.com/bbs/Forum4/HTML/007605.html

I just don't see that there's anything you can do to make it better, except to give him lots of space and time. Does he make these accusations point blank (about having more than one totse name, about blocking him on AIM)? If so, don't whimper, don't freak out, just respond calmly that it's not true, and ask why he thinks those things.

If you heard these things as rumors, quit paying attention to rumors. But if you must, the same thing applies: calmly state that those things aren't true.

No magical perfect solutions here to restore the past. Move forward.

This is the way a guy might act, when he's been a long time "friend", but now is developing "feelings" and "falling in love" with you. Is that possible in your case? Maybe so.....and maybe you didn't even see it coming!! Love, Venus.

He knows you and he reads totse so he knows this is about him? ThatÂ’s odd.

Miss Pretty's guess is mine too. I think he wants to be more than friends. The only other thing I can think of is if you recently decreased the amount of time you spend together like if you just got a BF and now he is getting pissy about that. But my hunch is the first option.

Your friend is worse than a goddamn chick! If he is deciding to be a little bitch about some shit that isn't true, then he really isn't your friend. Fuggim.

First of all, the last thread I had didn't give me enough opinions. Second, I don't have a boyfriend. Third, I have tried to talk to him but he just says that I am too stupid to realize what I did. ????????? *confusion*

If you are too stupid to understand logic, then why does he want to be your friend? Tell him to get his shit together or go away, because he's full of shit. If anything, he probably wants to have sex with you or be your boyfriend.

Hi again, InimitableBalarina:

I forgot to ask you 4 questions, which might help me evaluate the problem:

(1) Why do you think your relationship with this guy has stayed just as a "friend" for so long, and never moved up to a "romantic" relationship?

(2) IF this guy had tried to move you up to a "romantic" relationship, would you have gone there with him?

and

(3) How would YOU self-evaluate yourself physically....Beautiful? Sexy? Average? Not so hot?

(4) How do you think HE would evaluate you physically if he were asked?

I think that the answers to these questions might help figure out why this guy is being the way he is being with you now.

Love, Venus.

Ok, then if he says you're too stupid, then come back with, "well then HELP me to understand." If he doesn't want to explain what you did wrong, then he has no reason to be angry. But since he appears to be an immature prick, I say forget about him. Yes yes I know, easier said than done, but sometimes friendships fall apart. It's never easy, and its even harder to let go, but if he's not willing to try and fix whatever went wrong, then theres no point in trying to keep a one sided relationship going.

Best of luck.

Alright, I am seeing where you are going with the four questions but are looks really that important? I think that our friendship has lasted so long because we probably have alot of things in common. I find that personality means alot more to me then looks. Looks are just a bonus in my opinion.

OK. Love, Venus.

PS: Actually, I agree with you. However, I don't think you knew where I "was going". LV.
