Return Of The Jealousy..I Know I'm Wrong
I'm a jealous, insecure, and possessive boyfriend, after months of her reassuring me, and me letting her know it's just how I show affection, we were doing ok.
Now, well..last night, her cell phone got locked, and she cant remember the code. No big deal, right? Well it drove her nuts, she was really pissed off, because she can't use it to call people* (* marks segments of my jealousy). She doesn't really have many friends..she has two or three female friends..and thats about it. I ask today how many numbers she lost, she said 20-30 that she frequently uses*. She hates talking on the phone..how does this make sense? I know she hates talking on the phone, and I know her good friends..who the hell does she call and even if she doesnt call them much (I know she doesnt spend much time on there), why is it so important that these mystery people can get in contact with her?
I know it seems like I'm not willing to give her any freedom, and am just being stupid, right? Are my reactions totally uncalled for and silly, or do they have some legitimate basis?
I'm not letting her know how I feel about this, we dont need the extra pressure on us at the moment.

Sounds like she's just obsessing over details here. If I were you, I would not mention it to her.

You are being a bit unreasonable, but that's nothing unsual. She's just being whiney, just let her deal with it herself and try not to fuss over the little things.

Re: Return Of The Jealousy..I Know I'm Wrong
Not to be mean or anything, but it sounds like she has a life apart from you, your life revolves around her, you are jealous of her life and the time it takes her out of yours, and you are scared that one of those numbers is to a guy that deserves her more than you do. How do you fix that? Get a life and act like you have one in the mean time.

No, your life should revolve around her to the degree that yours does. Not obsessive, but ignoring her never helps!
Easy Going just wants to play the bitchy psychologist. Just you be the one to bring the phone in to get unlocked at wherever you got it from...

Re: Return Of The Jealousy..I Know I'm Wrong
Thanks for all of the comments, people. I'm surprised no one posted with "stop bitching and give her space, pussy". I seem to get those type of responses a lot here. Well, Venus wasnt very considerate to my delicate self-esteem, but hey, I gave in and talked to her (my girl, not Venus) and all is well.

He said he was jealous, insecure, and possessive. He also cannot understand why she wants to be in contact with her friends and acquaintances. That would not mystify him so much if he had similar contacts. I think the problem here is you identify with him and have similar issues. Even if you get married to someone, you still have to be able to let them have a life. Being possessive to the point that their life causes you angst is not love. It is insecurity.

No one said he should ignore her. She does not ignore him and still has a life. However, ignoring does sometimes help, if you know what you are doing which apparently you don't.

Women stuck with a pussy like you, dream about being with a guy that acts like me. Why don't you keep your advice on how to be a loser to yourself.

Re: Return Of The Jealousy..I Know I'm Wrong
All is good and well with the points you're trying to make, I won't argue it..but we're really both on the same level as far as our 'lives' go. I know this, which is why it had me baffled when I thought she had 30 friends I didn't know about. Granted I don't have many people I'd like to stay in close contact with, which is why I'm scared of losing her, one of my only attachments - hence the jealousy.
