Im going to ask my girlfriend to marry me soon and Im asking for some help on what to say. I have a really hard time saying how I feel and I need some help. I dont need the 12-16 yr olds smart assed comments (example: Just fuck the shit outa her and say marry me bitch) I want some ideas on what so say and do from someone who has gone through this. I know of no better place to ask complete strangers about this. Please totse, help me.

Just be yourself. She already knows you and probably already knows the answer if you should ask. In fact, you should probably know her answer before you do ask. If you don't, it is probably too soon.

Go for a nice walk in a park around you or so, find (aka throw the ring on the ground when she's not watching) something shiny on the ground, ask her to see what it is; when she picks it up, kiss her, hold her hand, kneel down, give the spiel about loving her, and ask the question. "(insert her name here), for me, it feels right to make the commitment. Will you marry me?"

Not so hard, eh? Just use your imagination. If she says she isn't ready though, don't fucking explode and start crying; you may be able to commit to something before she can. Let the relationship develop some more, and with the knowledge that you are ready to commit, she'll probably bring the topic up when she's ready, then you can pull another situation from your imagination for round two with a gauranteed 'Yes.'

happened to me and its not a situation i remember with warmth, i actually dont talk about it that much at all.

you want to do something like what Hexa said, something she will cherish and when someone asks her how you asked her to marry you she can say it with pride, love and depending on the situation, even laughter.

take her to a 5 star hotel for the weekend, then on sunday morning after a great weekend get a bottle of champagne and take her a glass in bed, with the ring in the glass of champagne.

just make sure she doesnt choke on it.

All the romantic cliches are so old and dead...All the shit about taking them out all night before proposing and shit is useless!

The way I see it, if the girl would marry you then she will say yes whether you're in the Ritz or sitting in front of the TV!

It's not about winning her over with money and gifts and shit...More like knowing that there is love between you both.
