She could do better?
Today I was told that some of my girlfriend's friends mentioned to her that she could do better than me. Why does this bother me greatly? Normally nothing bothers me like this, but now this makes me feel like a fucking hairy mammoth with a giant axe or something who eats little kids. Should I not worry about it?

Re: She could do better?
That depends. Are you starting to believe there may be a glimmer of truth in what they're saying, or, worse yet, there isn't but you think your girlfriend will begin to listen?
If it bothers you, don't ignore it. Figure out why, if you can, and deal with that reason. Pushing it down will only cause the negative reaction to bubble until you explode and become the ugly, hairy, baby-eating mammoth.

Re: She could do better?
You shouldn't let it bother you...it's probably, actually, a compliment. Girls are most likely to say that to another girl in 2 situations....neither of which are demeaning to you, personally:
1. They don't want to LOSE HER TO YOU, and they know you are hot enough that they may lose her to you unless they say something ugly to her about you.
OR
2. TheY don't want to LOSE YOU TO HER, because you are hot, and THEY may harbor the secret thought that they want to hustle you....which they couldn't do if she was still with you.
I suggest you TALK to your GF, and find out why they are saying it, and what she thinks about what they are saying.
Love, Venus.

Theres the other option that they know something about you that she doesnt and doesnt wanna tell her directly or something...but if your not an ass, or not a freak(to the point that people really dont like you for it), or have nothing to really hide in the past...then its the first 2...

Re: She could do better?
Quit paying attention to gossip and hearsay. If your gf is one to be so easily influenced by her peers (okay, I know all teenagers are) then perhaps you're the one who can do better.
Or, as someone suggested, you could have shortcomings you're not aware of. In any case, if she likes you fine now, she still shouldn't be so easily swayed by what her friends think.

Re: She could do better?
use your axe to shave off all the hair..and just dont eat her kid brother, you'll be fine.. It's probably important for you to be on good terms with her friends, i lost a g/f like that..of course it is probably better, cause if she listens to her friends now, who is she going to listen to when she's had a few beers at a party and your not there?

Re: She could do better?
Thanks for the replies. Pinay, I never looked at it like that.
I dont know...I am around 6'7", 235lbs, I workout everyday (5 day split resistance/cardio) so her friends might actually be afraid of me.
Spiffy...I told her that if she listens to her friends, it would be extremely immature of her, but do what you would like. Also, I am thinking about well what IF she could "do better than me" and I actually deserve less than her? Makes me want to get plastic surgery or something.
Cindy...maybe I should ask her what she thinkgs my shortcomings are?
All of you made me think a lot. Thanks again.
