I was thinking how young is to young to get married? I will graduate when Im 20 and I have been wanting to kinda settle down lately and I have been thinking about it more and more.

So, what age do you think is good to get married at?

NOTE: i really dont want to get married, more of a civil union type of deal, or living to gether but with some sort or ceremony.

I'd say that anytime after 20 is fine. that really depends though. you may meet someone before then that REALLY works. the problem is that before then you really cant be sure (if you EVER can be...). for instance, my parents got married when they were 19, and that worked for what, 2 years. not they hate each other. and dont be like "I'm going to get married as SOON as I'm 21." just do it when its right.

Well I don't know. Marry when there is no doubt in your mind that this is the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. I personally have my goal set for shitty little kids at 30+ that way I'll be able to have my fun before I unleash my spawn unto this world. Or..something like that

Age is pretty irrelevant. Personally, I think the 20s are too young. There's still a hell of a lot of living to be done. It might work for two people who are fully self-actualized with no significant mental/emotional issues, and who are financially stable and completely in love with each other and respectful of the sort of commitment marriage is.

No need to rush. Being tied to someone because you're in love with the idea of marriage and not that person is a dreadful way to live. Having financial strain can challenge even the most mentally stable, and anyone with emotional baggage is going to drag it right into the relationship.

You can't necessarily say what age is too young and what isn't. It depends on the person and the situation. Like my one older brother got married when he was 20. It's a couple years later and him and his wife are doing okay. Neither has gone to college but they both work and before hand had saved up a decent amount of money. Basically they've been rather responsible about it so I think it might last. Many people that age are however idiots and would never have a chance. Depends on what type of a person you are.
