Default Okay...how serious is Junior Prom?

Here's the story...

My friend asked me to go to Junior Prom with her friend (I'm a senior.) I HATE proms and she knows this, and I said no repeatadly. She kept begging and saying "We'll throw a tie on you, you don't have to worry about anything. You just have to show up." After about a week of me constantly saying no, I decided to do her the favor and I said alright.

Fast forward to today. She gets REALLY pissed at me because I haven't gotten a corsage. I told her that she told me not to worry about a thing and that it's junior prom so it's not important anyway, but she insists that a corsage is "common courtesy."

Now, they live in another town, and I don't even know the other girl too well. I went into this prom completely as a favor to my friend and under the assumption that I did not have to put forth an effort at all. Also it's junior prom.

Am I an asshole for not worrying about it? She got ridiculously mad at me, even though her defense was that a corsage is "common courtesy."

The prom is this saturday, and honostly I wasn't too sure what a corsage even was before today. I dunno, I kinda assumed that all the pleading and begging meant that I was accomodated for...

Yes a corsage is very necessary if you want to play it off slick this is what you do.

Go get a corsage that matches the color of her dress, usually white or pink whatever. Anyways after you get one don't tell her you got it.

Don't give it to her or show it or tell her you got it until you show up at her door. This will be a very nice surprise.

Unless you are not interested in the girl at all then fuck it.

I've only met the girl once and have no interest in her. I'm doing it for my friend entirely. But I don't wanna piss her off. Shit I hate proms, hahah.

How much do one of these go for? Shit, I hope I fit into my friends suit becuase I don't have a tux or anything.

Damn I hate this,

she broke you down, after making it quite clear you didnt ant to go, and is getting pissed because you dont fall right in and become the knight on a white horse? man, fuck your friend. tell her if shes wants you to play it like you want to be there, she has to give you a sloppy blowjob. see how that goes over.

BTW, i wouldve stuck to my guns. being forced into shit like this is wrong bro.

Nihilism knows his shit.

I'd seriously retort with a blowjob proposal.

This begs the question though, are you seriously going just as a friend or do you want to fuck her?

I'm not even going with my friend. I'm going with HER friend who I've met once before. She's cool and all, but not hot and I don't wanna do her at all.

(sigh) I guess I'll be a man and tough it out. I'm still making my friend buy a corsage.

I need to get seriously drunk before, during, and after it.

I'd go with the getting drunk idea. Common curtesy my ass. If were senior that has never been to a prom, then I'd kinda understand her urgency, seeing as she's a chick and all (because we all know how [a lot or] chicks get about prom), but other than that she should not be stressing you for something that she is going to be able to have another go at next year.

Fuck that bitch and drink yo shit. Nigga what! Get drunk wid it!
