What's the best way to ask...
Whats the best way to ask someone to be your girlfriend. I know, before I've used stuff like
"Look, I want the privelage of calling you my girlfriend", then taking their hand gently, looking them in the eye and saying "How about it? Will you give me that privelage?"
And that works about 45% of the time. See, every time I ask, I know something I say is kinda not right and it turns into a lost cause. So theres this girl I like and weve been friends for about a year. She's shown a lot of interest in me (i'm the one she interacts with the most and she just snubs most other guys) and she more than likely already knows I'm interested in her. So this time, I dont want to fuck up. So, in your opinion, whats the best way in asking a girl to be your girlfriend.

you dont, that is childish, high school bullshit. you spend some time, try to convince yourself she doesnt suck as much as she truely does and mutually decide to see each other exclusively.

Maybe he's in high school.
Spend more time with her and get to know her likes and dislikes, interests, goals etc. I wouldn't recommend using that line you posted, it sounds lame. Ask her what she looks for in a relationship. If she describes what you're looking for ask her "What about us?" You shouldn't have to dig too deep to sense if she's interested.

Just whip your dick out, and if its big she will say yes, if its small, she will kick you in the balls. I'll wager you get kicked.

Re: What's the best way to ask...
I'm with mrman on this one. If you have to ask her to be your girlfriend, then you aren't marking your territory properly. And if you have to ask her to be your girlfriend, ask her after a couple of dates so as to not scare her off.

Re: What's the best way to ask...
Yeah, I am in high school. Senior in a month or so.
I know her likes and dislikes, interests, goals, and all that. I guess bringing up the conversation in asking what she looks for in a relationship would be the tough to do. She's not very social, but when shes with just me, shes very social. And 90% of the time, were in a crowd of at least 4.

If you've been friends with her for a year, then no matter if she seems interested in you are not, I can almost 99% guarantee she will not go out with you. She's already placed you in the friend category; if she wanted a relationship she would've somehow let you know soon after you met.

Re: What's the best way to ask...
Personally it might just freak me out if some guy that I hadn't even been dating came to me and asked me to be their girlfriend. Generally you need to date someone enough that you know you enjoy his or her company. Then as things naturally progress you will become exclusive and be a couple.
