hmm...
don't mean to be generalizing on an entire gender but ...
why is it that in the beginning of a relationship guys tend to be all clingy/attached like (at different levels depending on the guy) and then later can complain about "needing space"???
(except of course, most, in my experience and watching friends, never actually say "they need space" they just start acting withdrawn)
what are your opinions on it? not trying to be stereotypical or group an entire gender population under one behavior, this is just from my experiences. all comments welcome.
oh and i know this can actually go both ways, but still would like to know what your thoughts are.

Re: hmm...
In any case, it could be considered "that new car smell", just getting tired of their company, not doing anything new to keep interests up. Or maybe the guy just seen a new girl he'd like to stick it to. In any case I honestly dont know why, I just found out that my last two relationships were all off cause of a mental disorder I've developed since my childhood. So I cant really be in an advice giving position since my constants were "I love you, I hate you" "Dont leave me, Get away from me".

Re: hmm...
Well, I'm a very affectionate person when it comes to relationships and stuff like that. I like to show a girl that I'm there for her and sometimes I can get carried away. I always like to be around that certain someone for the longest that I can and I have a hard time keeping my hands to myself. I find it easy to really like someone but I think I think sometimes it can be overdone and lots of guys including myself need to slow down...

Re: hmm...
2 words, new pussy. girls try to make it nearly impossible to get, guys want it in the worst way. once it happens, girls give it up faster than crack whores and the guy is no longer lusting for new pussy, all he comes home to is the same old slop. thats why guys need their space. because while many are blinded by the prospect of new pussy and arent aware of just how shitty her personality is, after time both of those illusions disappear.

Re: hmm...
There's a psychology to each sex. A guy can't expect a girl to think like himself, and a girl can't expect a guy to think like herself.
From my experience, girls are clueless as to the needs of guys. The information "I need some space" has to be shoved down their throats like a horse pill that for many years they just vomit out in refusal because they don't understand that guys need different things than girls.
If a girl isn't flexible enough to give her guy some space every now and then, then she can kiss her relationship goodbye, eventually at least.

Re: hmm...
I don't know what I'd do without my girlfriend. I feel like I can somewhat relate to "elite_dance", because I too consider myself very affectionate when it comes to relationships. Relationships with other people mean the world to me, to me interacting with others is the true definition of living. I would give up a lot for these people.
Sometimes I just get scared that my affection will appear/turn into obsession; if it isn't already.

Re: hmm...
If a guy is being clingy, it usually means you are not spending enough time with him and he is afraid of losing you.
If your guy is being ultra-clingy, try spedning some time with him, it'll probobly make him really happy. Just know that if they're being clingy, that they must really care about you.

true, but it can work both ways, not neccessarily "needing space" but other things, depending on the person. sometimes guys are completely clueless on what a girl needs (this varies from person to person of course). hmm... spose time will tell, but then if you just don't feel the same way then you won't act the same/return the gestures. ahh... so complicated ... such is the life of a teenager because we make it so.
