Default For those with knowledge of "The Ladder Theory"

I just read the Ladder Theory and found it, well, pretty damn interesting. My question to those who know more about the theory, or perhaps have used it in everyday life is...if one realizes they may have made a "ladder jump", is it possible to recoupe and still have a chance on getting on the sex ladder? If so, how?

Also, how would I be able to use this theory in everyday life?

Basically today I just realized that i'm the "sweet, caring, but you don't get to fuck me" guy, and that i've been making ALL the wrong moves with girls.

I remember reading a bit about that, but now that I try searching on Google for it, all the links say that "this document contains no data." I should wait awhile. It's an interesting theory, but you should by no means base everything on a single theory, especially if you don't understand it fully.

Edit: Never mind, I found a site that works. It seems to be true in most regards. But sorry, I can't help you, I don't know much about it right now.

Nope, Ladder Theory is bullshit.

If a girl is attracted to you, she's attracted to you, if she's not..guess what?

There's more to this ladder theory than some people give credit.

Cindy, the Ladder Theory is entirely useful and accurate for relationships from teenage to mid-30s. At this point, women are usually too immature (despite the bullshit they feed men about maturing faster) to understand that their animalistic wants don't yield the best men for a happy life. At that stage, the Ladder Theory works perfectly, and even covers exceptions.

I read that ladder theory stuff about a year ago, and didn't think much of it. I just figured "Yup. People suck. No surprise there." and more or less forgot about it.

I just read it again just now, and I think I'm gonna be sick. The idea "people suck" never changed, but now I can smell it for the pile of rotting crap it is.

Am I the only guy who hasn't been hypnotized into believing that the only good male-female relationship includes sex? The key word is "good" as in "worth spending time doing."

quote:If a girl is attracted to you, she's attracted to you, if she's not..guess what?

She's apparently a bitch according to ladder theory, which is pure insanity. Though I'm not sure how the ladder theory guy would define "bitch."

Most of the women I've dealt with are too erratic and unpredictable for any of ladder theory to be very accurate. Still, they are unthinking and preprogrammed enough for ladder theory to be accurate some of the time.

The most rediculous part of the whole thing is that there's no distinction between the spineless loser and the guy who takes care of his own interests without being a self centered jackass.

ok heres how it works....guys who friendly flirt with each girl they meet are better off because once u get to kno them they could be someone u wanna date....but if u get to kno them as just friends theres little chance you'll date. so if u flirt with them they can either like u back and flirt back or just like u as a friend, Or if u decide u dont like them like that then since it was just friendly flirted u didnt lead them on....does that make sense?

I just now looked at this topic. You're addressing me...why? I refuse to discuss this hackneyed subject, and agree to disagree with anyone who disagrees. Agreed? Disagreed? I'll agree to disagree to that, too.

Edit: Just one neutral comment. "Ladder Theory" is much like religion. It's there for people who want to believe in it, and irrelevant to anyone else. Those who believe, like religious folk, will vehemently defend their position and attempt to discredit those who disagree.

It makes sense if you apply it to the people that fit it. No more, no less.

It is pretty interesting, but really when you think about it all it, all it's really saying is

*People rank the opposite sex according to how much they want to fuck them.

*People generally want someone "better" than who they were last with

*The only way a friendship can workout is if both people mutually don't want to fuck eachother.

All those things are simply obvious.

It also extreamly gereralizes people and says that people who disagree with the generalization best fit the classification, with little to no reasoning.

I do think it's semi-relavent, but not extreamly. Mostly bullshit.I thought some parts of it were funny as hell though.
