Why does being broken up with hurt so much!

You think you got something really good going and out of nowhere BAM!, its over.

Damn life.

Sure, it sucks to suddenly lose something you care about.

For what it's worth, the younger you are, the quicker you'll get over it. Doesn't seem like it now, but time is a pretty powerful and reliable healer.

*hugs*

Some sanctimonious bastards say it's better to have loved and lost than never loved at all, but I disagree.

Any chance of getting back together with the guy/girl?

Time doesent heal all scars, but it will numb the pain alot.

Listen to some emo music and cry yourself to sleep. Get over it. Just one dumb girl out of a million. 'Tis a shame though.

obviously if she dumped you she dont know what she is missing out on, making her a moron. and why would you want a moron anyway?

that's the way i look at all these situations.

Dont worry bout it. I've been in your situation. (a few times) If ya'll are meant to be together then ya'll will get back together. True love never dies, so if she really loves you then she'll come back. I've gone out with this one girl 4 times already, and we like each other again. lol. The only reason I keep going out with her is because I TRULY love her. Now I think she realizes that we are meant to be together, so were gonna get back together. All I can say is pray and dont worry bout it. God will lead you to the right person your suppose to be with.

I've been surprised at how many people have actually said that to me.

Feeling a bit better today though, even her best friends said i deserve better, doesn't change the fact i still love her.

Thanks for your replys anyway.

Hey bub, I feel your pain. My girlfriend broke up with me about 2 and a hlaf months ago after a three year relationship. You bet your ass it was hard, and that I still lie awake at night and think about how miserable life is; but I accepted that shes moving on so I must too. The trick is not getting too obsessed with the break-up. If you find yourself feeling like shit then do something to occupy yourself. I'm going to Toronto this weekend to get crazy with a bunch of my close friends, and its going to help keep me sane.

Just acknowledge when you might need more help though. Theres no shame in going to so a psychiatrist, especially if you have some awful thoughts.

My final advice: take care of yourself and the rest will follow.
