Before I say anything else, the URL I am posting links to a Yaoi story I wrote. In case you don't know, Yaoi is a term commonly associated with boy-on-boy erotica, so YES, this is a gay story. Do not give me any of your homophobic bullshit, I told you ahead of time. If you don't want to read a story where two guys are in love, then fucking click something other than the URL, don't show what a immature asshole you are.

No, I am not gay, or even Bi, but I have a very dear friend who is pansexual (Look it up) who writes a ton of Yaoi and I must admit, gay or not, a lot of its very well written. So she dared me to write one of my own and this is it.

Its a songfic based on Salivas song 'Always'. If you don't like Saliva, you'll probably hate it on principle. Do everyone a grand favor, and demonstrate your intelligence by directing any criticism at the way the story is written, not at the fact its a guy-on-guy theme.

I couldn't help but feel the writing was cluttered by too much description ("His small shoulders shook as his heart and soul poured out in his tears which soaked the picture he clutched tightly to him") a slightly plainer piece would have been more poignant.

There were a few paragraphs started with clichés ("Then one day", "Weeks went by") which is always a good thing to avoid.

The ending was great, but maybe somthing a little more subtle not mentioning the gunshot.

That's really all the criticism I can muster, great piece

See, this is something that I've been wondering about.

I was pretty sure that Yaoi was a term used to describe Japanese drawn or animated pornography featuring two men of a specific type.

Not, so far as I know, a term used for all purposes or to describe written erotica.

So why not just come to terms with the fact that you are writing gay erotica.

Just a thought.

Yaoi is also used to describe fiction based around anime characters. The only common denominator I've seen in how the word is used is that it's always been related to characters from Japanese art.
