From my research appartently lots of you americans love are accents, how come?

I find that it works both ways. I went to britain once, and the girls loved my canadian accent eh. Too bad I had a girlfriend at the time. In retrospect I should have done more than just made out with a hot british girl. Anyway I like the british accent on girls, or any other accent (well almost). I think it's just universal, y'know?

An accent (just about any accent, with the exception of Canadian and Southern) automatically wins you ten IQ points and a soul. As for why? I dunno....

The female accent is very attractive and hypnotising. Dont ask me why.

Personally, the only accent besides my own midwest US accent that I like, is the accent a beautiful Russian woman carries. They talk like they fuck, emphasis in just the right places.

I'd blame/thank (depending on your point of view) popular culture. From the charming actors in old Alfred Hitchcock films (of the 1930s) to Cary Grant, Professor Higgins, James Bond, the Beatles, the entire "British Invasion" of the 60s, Mick Jagger and Sting/The Police, a lot of good-looking, cool pop culture icons had the British accent.

What's better than just an accent? A different language alltogether! Heheheh...

I find the english accent in women like I find the southern drawl...annoying and out of place... Spanish accents for women are my turn on, for some reason I find it sexy...

Try it with a scouser, brummy or geordie accent and see how far you get.

I think all accents have their good types and their annoying types... they all have the potential to be a turn on or a total turn off. American excepted. Sorry, that's just the way it is.

Kinda off-topic, but it's quite amusing when a non-native English speaker imitates an American accent, they always seem to do the Texas drawl. Do all of us Americans sound like that? When I attempt my (bad) British accent, my British friends ask why I always try to do the west end London accent when the Leeds is much easier. Or something like that. I dunno the difference.
