Alright, well I broke up with my 10 month girlfriend broke up a few weeks ago, with her claiming to be in love with me. Ok, well I told her I'd still be friends. But she won't fucking leave me alone! She keeps calling me, and wanting to still do stuff with me, etc... It's annoying! I've told her that she needs to let me go and that she's getting bothersome, but that didn't change anything. What would be the best way to get her to stop bothering me?

Restraining order.

That may seem drastic, but trust us, restraining order is the only thing that even has a chance of working.

Well, a restraining order would be the absolute best way to do it, but is there anything I could do otherwise that would make her realize like, "Damn, maybe I should stop bothering him." Or something along those lines?

Agreeing to still be friends may have been an error. To a jilted female in love, that is often interpreted as "there's a possibility we'll get back together". That's what she hears.

It's time to not take her calls, not return her calls, and cut off all contact. If she blubbers "But I thought we could be friends" you need to say "I made a mistake". No need to be mean about it, but definitely do NOT be nice and friendly. Take the same attitude as a bank turning down a loan application: polite, impersonal and firm.

If she tries more intense measures of contact, such as arriving at your doorstep unannounced or "coincidentally" being in the same places as you (i.e., stalking you) then you need to send her a formal letter asking her to stop.

If she still persists, then you have grounds for a restraining order. I don't think you do yet.
