there's this girl, and for the past few days we've been talking. mostly online, and i don't have her phone number.

i think we are connecting and stuff, you know.

tomorrow afternoon, or sunday morning i'm going on vacation for a week or so. and it hasn't came up in conversation so she doesn't know about it.

so i'm pretty sure i won't get a chance to talk to her again before i leave.

i don't have her email address either. i could send her an AIM offline message and tell her i'm going away and i might get a chance to email her or something. or will that seem to obsessive?

would it be better for me to just disappear for about a week?

just get ahold of her someway. at worst, if youre afraid shell freak out on you, just turn on an away message saying "im on vacation for a week! ill see you all on [fuck]day! leave me one tho..."

Probably not too obsessive.. just desperate.

just say hey, and if she wonders where you are, that you're on vacation and you'll talk to her later. its not obsessive, just shows you're taking interest in her.

Just disappear for a week.

Tru_Souljer - i'm on dial-up so can't leave aim up all week.

Neither of us know any of the same people so i would tell one of her friends that i'm going away and to relay that to her, but i can't do that.

along with obsessed, i'd prefer not to come off as desperate either.

Why don't you just e-mail her telling her you're going away for a week. That you'll talk to her when you get back. It's informative and un-obsessive. Although she'll appreciate that you told her. Then perhaps you could send a few surprise e-mails just saying what you're up to and seeing how she is doing. That will up you in brownie points without coming off as "obsessive".

i think i'm going to do that, but i want to see what more people say.

i don't have her email address so it will have to be an AIM Offline message for her, which is basically the same thing.

so when i do should i say something like: "hi, if you're wondering where i am, i'm on vacation for a week, i'll talk to you later"

but the problem with that is while i'm on vacation i will only have access to email, and not AIM so i won't be able to send any surprise emails (or offline messages either) and i won't be able to get her email address either.

so in the offline message should I also say something like "if you want to give me an email, mabey i'll get a chance to reply" and leave my email?

I would just send her an offline message saying "Just so you know I'm not avoiding you, I'm on vacation for a week. I'll talk to you when I get back!"

Just space her off and get a new girl on vacation.

send her a message through AIM or whatever telling her that you want to go out and do something with her, but you can't because you'll be gone for a week.

that way she knows you like her, but not how much, and you've also let her know you're going away for a week.
