Default Respectful, stupid, or what??

I have never had sex unprotected, but I've made it a habit that if I'm going to be giving a guy head or if we aren't "together" when we're having sex that I ask him whether he's ever had unprotected sex before and/or if he's clean. However, I've never had a guy ask the same from me. So what I'm wondering is whether these guys are just dumb, trying to be respectful of my privacy, chicken, or what? I mean, it feels kind of weird asking someone when you want to fuck, but it really is a pretty good idea....Do you guys ask?

one time i was riding in the car with 2 girls and one was all like "do you have any STD's?"

and i was like "no"

and they were like "that's good."

i didn't mind her asking. and if i had some suspicion i would ask.

Heh, I've never been asked either! I'm the sort who, for some reason, appears respectable and capable of good judgement. Ha! My current bf asked, but this was several weeks after we'd already done the deeds, so it was an "afterthought".

I'm curious about what the dudes say, too. Perhaps they assume that females, being better than them, would volunteer the info, while the average sniveling male wouldn't bother unless asked. (I'm joking, for the love of God don't flame me!)

Hmmmm... I've always asked about contraception, if she's on the pill or using a diphragm, or if I need to use a condom but I've never come out and asked "baby, you got the clap?" I guess my reasoning is that if she didn't come out and say it on her own she'd lie about it if asked.

As far as respecting her/his privacy, with the diseases out there nowadays if they can't understand being concerned then they place relatively little value on their (and your) well-being.

Please, everyone, always say you use protection. If you've used protection only just once, you are thereby, now & for ever able to say you use protection.

This is of course, ever so politically krect.

Which is mucho excellent. 'Cause it's

so very likely to get you bare-ass sex
