We need more info to answer this question. Is this your GF? a girl in your class you like? what is the setting?

As for the movie date question, if the relationship is young, you start contact in the first min or two of the date (anything like a quick kiss or touch her arm or hair or whatever) to set the tone that that is what this is all about.
