Am i lieing to myself ?
Hi guys
Is it possible to love someone and still not completely trsut them ?
My b/f has lied to me a few times and i have forgiven him for it....sometimes when he tells me about his whereabouts or when he says certain things, i find it hard to believe him....
I do love him a whole lot, but its difficult for me to always trust what he says or does...
i put myself through torture when i feel he is lieing to me.. i have all these negative thoughts racing in my mind....
I have spoken to him about it a while back.. and he obviously won't admit that he is lieing to me....
Should i jus stop being paranoid and take a leap into oblivion ?
Should i just be on the safe side and slowly end the relationship.....
We have been going out for almost 2years....
I love him, and if i do break up with him... i jus don't want to go through all the heartache....
Please Advise

Re: Am i lieing to myself ?
This sounds like these 2 friends of mine. The girl heard from some bitch that the guy had cheated, so she started punching him and went crazy. Half the friggin school saw the scene and he didnt even cheat on her.
Anyhoo to you problem, my advice is don't end the relationship if thats the only reason you want to end it. Tell him that you sometimes don't believe him, and you dont care what he does as long as hes honest all the time and doesnt cheat. Thats what id do. Also don't give him reason to cheat, always be hapy together.
Thats my 2 cents, hope it helps.

Re: Am i lieing to myself ?
Trust is very important in a relationship. Once it is lost it can take a while to get it back. Without trust a relationship cannot survive. One partner will always worry and suffer, even if it is only from memories. I've learned that if a guy treats you badly, give him another chance. Only one. If he does it again it means he'll keep doing it. It's not going to stop.
You may be afraid of dumping him because you may end up thinking "what if we
tried again? He could change?". He's not going to change, nothing is going to change. I know this is very pessimistic but it is what I have learned so will not let any guy push me around again.
Good Luck, and remember this is just my opinion. Go with your heart. Don't talk to him for a day or two, get your head cleared. Think it all through and when you make your final decision it will most ikely be the right one.

Re: Am i lieing to myself ?
Notice the pattern of lying? Dump him or get used to it. The odds of him changing aren't in your favor. Generally in life, if someone will fuck you over once, they'll do it repeatedly if you let them.

Re: Am i lieing to myself ?
It's hard to have a serious relationship with such a lack of trust. You need to sort out your issues with him before you go on to a more emotional relationship step.
Talk it out with someone. You are always going to be apprehensive, but perhaps he can gain some more of your trust over time.

Sure you can love him and not trust him. It just means your relationship sucks. Plus you probably have trust issues.

Re: Am i lieing to myself ?
A relationship isn't just about love. I love people I could never, ever have a relationship with. Thus, just because you love him doesn't mean this relationship has potential.
Trust is probably more important to a productive relationship than love. Without it, you simply can't grow and evolve; each time you have a doubt about him you're setting yourself back to square one. That's a terrible way to live.
Cut your losses. Heartbreak heals. You're really just delaying the inevitable.

It's threads like this that make me not feel bad when I can't check the board for a couple of days. Enough people have this shit locked down tight.

Yes!
I mean it is not a good thing to be lacking in a relationship where love is involved but it is totally possible not to trust the person you love.
