Default A question for Sarc. (and others with child)

i'm just curious, i don't know what advice you can give really. but a friend of mine is pregnant and i'm having a hard time being supportive. i really want to be, and i want to help her however i may. the thing is, i have a lot of very justified anger for this person. i've held it back thus far and done my best not to talk about our history and several broken promises. i know it shows though. but there are a lot of things between she and i that need to be resolved before the baby is born. i just feel like if i bring them up it will put more pressure on her than she needs.

so my questions are: should i tell her what's been eating me for the past six months? if so, what's the most sensitive way to do it?

Actually, I'd advise you to wait. It just won't do much good right now. If you speak your mind, and it sinks in, the effects on her could be quite bad. Depression/strife + pregnancy = unhealthy. But it's not likely to even sink in because she's in self-protect mode and probably won't allow herself to hear anything that may hurt her.

Being pregnant is wierd, it's like your mind is just going going going a mile a minute and it's all you can do to concentrate on a task long enough to complete it... it's not a good time to try and solve issues.

Also, the hormones, my moods haven't changed, they've just intensified. I don't have control over myself like I used to. It's soooo easy to cry and feel completely shit.

It may be really hard for you, but have patience. There will be much better times to sort things out with her.

I'm sure you have your reasons but I'm just curious as to why you're obligated to "be there" and be supportive when there is some sort of strife. Care to shed any light on that?
