I have noticed that a hell of alot of my friends have become bi, mainly the girls.

i noticed this last year, yeah is a god damn fad, along with the emo thing.

I've noticed that with alot of my friends and acquaintances, I think their just experimenting.

yeah, i guess they just want a bigger piece of the proverbial pie. a handful of girls i know did it. but the weird thing is like that it was just groups of their friends that suddenly became bi overnight...

It's understandable if they are drunk and shit but then over the next few weeks it was just more obvious. For example; Alyssa is cool like that but then i see her really doing it around me and a few of her friends and starts rambling on about somehing about "why can't guys be jealous instead of horny" and I'm like what. Others are just doing it for the sake it being bi. Anyways its just messing with my already fuked up head.

I'm pretty sure this crazy new bi fad goes back to caveman times.

But it's still appealing how each generation thinks it's the first to discover anything.

Well its not like its all that new to me. I have noticed that it starts around this time of year. And I've noticed it way back since 7th grade.

I noticed my female friends trying it since 9th grade, their trying to find themself 7 or 8 years later I meet up with some of them, some are still Bi and some are not.

man that is so true. the hippies did the whole loving EVEERYONE thing and they were like "oh my god how good is this new thing we just discovered". The greeks loved everyone back in the old days (i mean ancient greece here) but the hippies didnt think about that. i think it's a pretty nice fad. it's all about being a bit more laid back, and that can't be a bad thing.

Lots of girls will say they are bi, but when it comes to an actual serious relationship they want nothing to do with it. Or will come up with some excuse. A lot of girls these days mix up "impressing guys" with their sexual explorations and the actual thing where feelings are involved.

I know several bi girls who say they would never get into a relationship with another girl because they couldn't handle another girl's bullshit. They're more than willing to hook up sexually, however.. does that really make them less bisexual somehow?

Guys give you just as much bullshit to deal with. If you're sexually attracted then yeah sure I guess you're bisexual. It just seems like a lot of people wouldn't be willing to get into a relationship because they really aren't attracted and are just doing it for attention. Which happens a lot.

But then, when your bisexual i mean, you can only choose one way or the other. You can be dating a guy and doing stuff with girls on the side.

I'm bisexual; have been all my life, but don't go around telling people. Haven't had any relationships with girls, but I would if I liked someone enough.

It's pretty hilarious that a certain sexual orientation is becoming a trend...anyone see the South Park episode where all of the guys become metrosexual. Great stuff.

You see it allstarted again this year (as usual) on St Pattys day. When a few girls who know their limit and purposely go above it(mind you they are like 14 and 15) the trend starts off every year and they start off with drunken boredom then become feminazis for an hour then just dry hump everything they see. here's my two cents on this little topic:

i'm bi, but a guy, so's i can some-what level with the issue. most chics are being experimental about it becuse, well, guys can get girls.. what about girls getting girls? not to say i'm all for it, but it's a choice. but it's been scientifically proven that all females of the human race (no jokes here) are initially bisexual. it's whether or not they choose to act on one sexual tendancy or the other that will define them, otherwise they remain bisexual. guys, on the other hand, are (theoretically) straight from square-one. again, it's whether or not they are fully aware of it that can cause a change. i grew up thinking "hey, i'm straight as an arrow, no worries here", which can and sometimes does lead to question. it's a little something i like to call "teenage assumed authority VS society", or, human nature. there's a quote i read in my old shop class that says "Scientists look at things and ask 'Why?' I dream of things and ask 'Why not?'" i hold that to be very true; if you believe you are straight, then make sure of it, and vice-versa. there really is no right or wrong answer to the question "why is everyone becoming bi all of a sudden", it's just human nature. the girls that are doing it exploratively are probably just exploring their sexuality, just to get a taste of the other side. "the grass is greener on the other side".. i hold that to be true as well. of course, there ARE those who just do it for attention/peer pressure. so, all in all, there is no real answer as to WHY people are doing it. but as to the "cool"-cycle, my only comment is this: if you think you're right, then don't stop until you've proven yourself otherwise

Yeah, it does happen a lot, which is both disappointing and understandable. The flaky bi girls can hurt the ones who really like them, which sucks. Still.. maybe I'm just lucky to know a number of honest-to-god bisexual girls who think this way, but someone only liking one gender (generally their own) for sex and the other for everything doesn't seem overly strange.

Love knows no gender in my opinion. When you actually find the person you love and want to marry or whatever you're not going to be fucking around with anyone other than them. Just because you're bi doesn't make it any less of cheating.

I think I just realized I think you intended on saying "You can't be dating a guy and doing stuff with girls on the side." Rather than saying can.

A few 'studies' (IE asking kids to fill in straight/bi/gay/trans/etc.) show that 15% of men would enjoy sexual activites with the opposite sex and 11% of women. Im only saying that to prove that more people are gay/bi than you think...

And it certainly could not be put into the same category as beanie babies and 'punk-emo' because if you are really attracted to both sexes, you cant fake it, and no one would fake being bi/gay because you really wouldnt like it, anyone can collect shit and listen to bad music...

Dude, being bi is great. Everyone should be bi b/c there is no point in limiting yourself to only about half the world. Sex is great so if you want to do it with someone you should. As long as there are no diseases involved of course. But with all these bitches these days, all i have to say is
