i have ginger hair, im 6foot2, muscular and i would say im reasonably attractive although i dont know for sure, im intelligent without being a 'nerd' (why it shud make a difference if i was cleverer i dont know but it happens, theres at leat 2 topics about it right now so im not going into that) im averagely popular, as in i have 3 real friends i hang out with and get along ok but not real friends with everyone else. I find it easy enough to get into a conversation with anyone.

I have never had a girlfriend in my life. its not like i havnt tried, i am friends sort of with a few but they dont ever seem interested enough in me.

my best friend is quite short, no muscles at all, really skinny, moles everywhere on his body, uneven yellow teeth and brown hair. he has had a lot of girlfriends. i would think he was making them up to make himself sound cool but iv seen them. Its hardly a problem and i dont hate him for it but im pretty pissed off that i can never get a date. The only reason i can think of is that he has brown hair and i have ginger. We have basically the same personality as each other and we like the same stuff.

Yes, absolutely. If i where to find a red head who I enjoyed being with in a boyfriend sense, I would absolutely go for it. I am assuming you dont live under a rock, and have seen Prince Harry? He is georgeous! And has ginger hair. It makes him more attrative. It's not your hair color that is detering the girls.

I really never understood the whole thing that goes on with your best friend. I notice this goes on a lot. Maybe you are not hanging around the right sorta girls if they are turning you away (you actually sound kinda sexy....gotta love the scary eyes) for him. Your dilemma has nothing to do with your hair color.. your friend may be lacking in the physical department, but he has something you don't, that you need to work on... CONFIDENCE.

That is something you develop gradually with experience.. it's not inbred with genes. Start out with the right frame of mind and attitude. Pick a girl you're comfortable with for "practice"... with the mindset of just becoming friends (wanting to get into her pants will only create tension and desperation, and she'll pick up that scent).

If you can put yourself in the position of just becoming friends with someone, and practicing techniques of basic communication skills until you're comfortable developing a relationship on 'friendly' grounds... then you will slowly but surely gain confidence in attacking the more difficult task of connecting with someone on a more intimate level. It's not rocket science. It's human nature at it's most instinctual level. BUT, it's a learned process that takes a certain amount of going through the stages of trial and error processes to see what works best with your psyche... it'll come, maybe when you least expect it.

Be courteous and allow yourself the fact that rejections are part of the process of dating... and keep persevering...
