Is it a good idea to use the internet to break ice with a girl or atleast say the first Hey. There is a cute girl I would like to talk to, and I have her email and shes been on my list for a while now but this was before I got interested. I know/think we are interested in each other and this would be a decent way to break ice. I've used the internet before to do it. My opinion is do you think its an alright way, and also any thing else you may add.

It's a lot easier to use an IM convo to break the ice. Is it a good idea? In theory it is, but like communism it works very little. It's less personal because you don't have to see the person or worry about shit gettin' awkward.

In person is the best thing to do it, on the phone is alright, online is just immature IMO.

It can be for some people, but you cannot have eye contact online, and that is key to the best first impressions.

I'd use the internet as a tool to make my REAL first impression in real life. Feel me? And I think its a bit childish too but shes a freshmen so I could care less.

The internet allows people to speak their real feelings because they don't have to say it in person.What I would do is just try and sneak yourself into a situation with her.Like at a soda machine or something and you see her,go buy a soda and say it's broken and ask her for a hand.Then just make conversation and THEN talk to her online.It works,believe me.

33% if i seen this situation id definately persue it. she rides the bus the same one i do, but see i only ride it like once a month when im obligated to and no friends can take me home (thank god i get my license). Its a sticky situation for a guy whos new to the school and all.
